An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori Chapter 1326
Lana finally got to the point. ” Handsome, you seem like a talented man. Why don’t you be a follower of the Camron family?
“Other than the Swansons and the Welches, no other family will dare touch you here in South City.”
“You aren’t inviting me because you have your eyes on Enchanting Elegance too, are you?” Dustin probed.
“Enchanting Elegance?” Lana smiled.
“Even though it’s a treasure, I’m not short on wealth. It holds little value to me.”
“Oh? Then why are you helping me, Ms. Camron?” Dustin was intrigued. “Even though I’m not short on wealth, I’m short on men.” Lana extended a finger and tapped Dustin’s chest.
She was practically glowing when she said, “You look thin but are surprisingly muscular. I didn’t misjudge you after all. I wonder, would you be interested in being my 108th boyfriend?”
“Huh?” Dustin frowned and instinctively took two steps back. He thought she was after the painting, not him. That was something he didn’t expect. What a flirt. Was she trying to gather a complete set of Kens?
“Oh, handsome, you aren’t startled, are you?”
Lana smirked. “Don’t worry, I was just joking. I don’t have 108 boyfriends. Even if I did, you would be my favorite. I promise you won’t be mistreated.”
Lana attempted to touch him again, but Dustin grabbed her hand. “Ms. Camron, please behave yourself.”
“We’re both adults here. There’s no need to be so formal. We should enjoy life while we can,” Lana said with a smile. “Ms. Camron, you’ve had a bit too much to drink. You should return and rest,” Dustin said impassively.
“Why the cold response, handsome?” Lana raised an eyebrow. Slightly aggrieved, she continued, “Am I not beautiful? Don’t I have a nice figure? Am I not desirable at all?”
“You are undeniably beautiful and have a great figure. But I’m not interested in you,” Dustin answered bluntly.
“You’re not interested?” Lana was taken aback. Then, she burst into laughter, nearly in tears from amusement.
“Interesting. Very interesting. Handsome, you’re the first person to reject me like that. I’m finding myself growing even more intrigued by you.”
She considered herself one of the best in terms of looks and physique. A mere flirtatious glance would melt the hearts of most men.
Even those who put on a dignified and indifferent front would fall at her feet. All she had to do was reveal her identity and shower them with gifts. No men could resist her allure. However, Dustin was the exception. She’d never encountered a man as unique as him.
She was extremely experienced in charming various men. From just a glance, she could tell if a man was lying. Dustin’s actions, expression, and tone proved he was telling the truth. His clear and calm gaze left no room for deception.
In other words, her usual methods of seduction had failed when it came to Dustin. The unexpected defeat only heightened her excitement. She decided that she would make this man hers no matter what.
“Ms. Camron, if there’s nothing else, I’m leaving.” Seeing Lana’s strange behavior, Dustin decided to make a quick exit.
As Lana watched Dustin walk away, she snapped her fingers. “Keep an eye on him. If he runs into trouble, be prepared to step in and save the day.”
Her eyes sparkled like a hunter who had just spotted a novel prey.
