It was as though eliminating Harvey was as easy as crushing an ant to him.
“Mr. Chance, my father is severely injured. Could you possibly help to treat him?” Scarlette asked.
She knew that Jared was also an alchemist, well-versed in medical skills.
Jared merely cast a glance at Owen before nodding. “Though his injury is severe, it’s not fatal. Sure, I’ll help to treat him.”
Upon hearing that, Scarlette was instantly overjoyed. She then ordered some men to clean up the scene.
Thereafter, she led Jared and Owen to the backyard.
Judith was still in the backyard, waiting anxiously without any idea about the situation out there.
When she saw Jared walking in while supporting her father alongside Scarlette, the worry within her instantly vanished.
She had been through life and death with him, so she was well aware of his capabilities
With him there, Quinlan Town no longer posed a threat to them.
“Ms. Scarlette, while I’m treating your father, I hope to be undisrupted. Additionally, there are certain resources I need Castenada Town to gather,” Jared said to Scarlette.
Although he had a considerable amount of resources, they were nearly depleted after his fierce battle with Skylar, especially with that Demon Annihilation Formation being a massive drain.
Moreover, he had expended a considerable amount of energy, and that necessitated gradual replenishment.
But without resources, he couldn’t possibly do SO.
Since he had helped Castenada Town out this time, it was only fair that the town requited the favor with some resources.
He was no saint, so he didn’t just help out for nothing.
“Rest assured, I will gather all of Castenada Town’s resources for your use, Mr. Chance!”
After Scarlette had said that, she immediately set off to gather resources.
Meanwhile, Jared turned to Judith and took out
Ten Thousand Sword Sect’s secret scroll documentation device, handing it back to her.
“Thank you for this secret scroll documentation device, Ms. Judith.”
He knew that he would never have been able to master the incredibly powerful sword technique of Assembly of the Swords without it.
Judith took it from him and asked, “What happened to those Demonic Cultivators, Mr. Chance?”
“Most of them met their end by my hand. Only one managed to escape, but he won’t be much of a threat.”
Jared then added, “Your body has also taken quite a hit during the battle this time, and you need to recuperate for a while. So, don’t roam around too much.”
“Okay!” Judith nodded. However, there was a hint of hesitation in her eyes.
“What’s wrong? Is there something you want to say?” Jared asked upon noticing that.
“Mr. Chance, I’d like to know if can you heal my face,” Judith asked softly.
Jared nodded. “Yes, but your face has been disfigured for too long, so a lot of mystical herbs will be needed to restore it to its original
state. Among them, Myocyte Grass is the most unique and comparatively hard to find.”
In reality, treating the burns on Judith’s face wasn’t the challenging part. The real difficulty lay in gathering enough mystical herbs.
It was implausible for Jared to have a variety of mystical herbs on hand to treat every ailment.
“As long as my face can be healed, Mr. Chance, that’s all that matters! As for finding Myocyte Grass, I’ll figure out a way!” Judith exclaimed in sheer excitement.
All that matters is that my face can be healed. Then, I wouldn’t have to live behind a mask anymore!
As Jared began treating Owen, Judith left the room, not wanting to disrupt her father’s treatment.
Furthermore, she was keen to find out exactly where in the eastern region was there the mystical herb known as Myocyte Grass.
A smile finally graced her face. After all, every girl wished to be beautiful.
Likewise, Judith yearned for the time when she could revert to the days of her stunningly beautiful countenance.
By then, Scarlette had sent men to gather the resources of the whole of Castenada Town. When the townspeople heard that it was for Owen’s treatment, they were all extremely enthusiastic and offered up everything they had.
