Aaron snorted. “Knowing who we are won’t change your fate. Don’t fool yourself into thinking you’re safe just because you’ve broken the array inside the cabin. We’ve set up formations throughout the entire spirit ship. Don’t even think about escaping. Once our sect leader arrives, you’ll all be finished!”
After his declaration, Aaron and his subordinates swiftly exited the cabin, making their way onto the deck.
Jared and the others immediately followed, but the moment they set foot on the deck, a massive restraining force enveloped them, rendering everyone immobile!
Meanwhile, Aaron and his companions moved about freely, completely unaffected by the restraint.
Aaron burst into triumphant laughter. “There’s no escaping my grasp!”
“Is that so?” Jared sneered and, despite the restraining force, began striding straight toward Aaron!
Aaron’s pupils contracted sharply when he noticed Jared could still move. The arcane array enveloping the entire spirit ship had been personally set up by their sect leader!
Moreover, it was reinforced with a secret technique of the Sky Slasher Sect. How is it not affecting him at all?
Once again, Aaron channeled more spiritual energy, further strengthening the formation!
Yet, Jared continued to stride toward him, utterly unfazed.
“This doesn’t make sense. Even if you understand divine markings, you still need to break the arrays. Why aren’t you being suppressed if the arrays are still intact?” Aaron was completely bewildered.
The rest of the Sky Slasher Sect members were equally stunned. They had never witnessed such a phenomenon before!
“Are you implying that this is your Sky Slasher Sect’s secret technique, and you’re baffled as to why it can’t control me?” Jared taunted, a chilling laugh escaping his lips. “Stanton used your precious secret technique too, and guess what? I still ended up bashing him like a dog. Your so-called secret technique is nothing but a joke to me!” With that, Jared suddenly raised his hand.
Boom!
At that moment, the tables had turned. The oppressive force that was bearing down on everyone instantly vanished.
However, waves of terrifying oppressive forces kept relentlessly assailing members of the Sky Slasher Sect.
Aaron and the others were taken aback, their instincts screaming at them to flee the spirit ship. However, the overwhelming oppressive force made it impossible for them to take flight. Some disciples from the Sky Slasher Sect were even crushed to the ground by this unseen weight!
Witnessing this scene, Wyatt and the others were left completely dumbfounded. They knew Jared was formidable, but the series of shocks they had just experienced left them deeply shaken.
“M-Mr. Lund, what’s happening here?” the young man beside Aaron stammered, his face a mask of confusion.
“Jared is only a Sixth-Level Tribulator, yet his mastery of the arcane array is astonishing. How is this possible?” Aaron murmured, equally baffled. Even he struggled to comprehend how Jared had altered the formation with just a casual wave of his hand.
Aaron was frantically attempting to regain control of the arcane array. After all, it was their Sky Slasher Sect’s secret technique and their spirit ship. Yet now, it had inexplicably fallen under Jared’s influence!
“Mr. Lund, we need to deactivate all the formations on the spirit ship, or we’re done!” the young man exclaimed, panic rising in his voice.
Their initial plan had been to control the alchemists through the arcane array, but now the formation was unexpectedly failing them. Not only had it collapsed, but it was also exerting pressure on their own people. They had to shut it down immediately!
“This spirit ship might not withstand the waves if we deactivate the formations!” Aaron hesitated, his mind racing.
Constructing a spirit ship was no easy task for the Sky Slasher Sect. Furthermore, the vast ocean might appear calm and serene, but without the protection of the formation, the ship could easily be torn apart by hidden swells!
“Mr. Lund, if we don’t deactivate the formation now, I’m afraid we’re all going to die!” the young man urged anxiously.
Seeing the dire situation, Aaron reached into his robe and pulled out a dark token. With a gentle press, the token emitted a beam of black light that enveloped the area.
In an instant, the arcane array on the spirit ship vanished, and the oppressive force that had been bearing down on the Sky Slasher Sect members disappeared in the blink of an eye.
However, without the protective formation, the spirit ship began to tremble violently.
