“People?” Ernesto was taken aback and then looked at Sinclair, asking, “Mr. Sinclair, are there people on this island?”
Sinclair smiled slightly at this, “Yes, there are people, and quite a few of them.”
As soon as Sinclair finished speaking, dozens of people suddenly emerged from all directions. The auras they emitted were strong, and more importantly, as soon as they appeared, arcane arrays lit up around them, instantly surrounding Thaddeus and his group.
It was now impossible for them to return to the spirit ship. The surrounding arrays prevented any escape.
All the alchemists were stunned, their faces changing drastically.
“Mr. Sinclair, what is the meaning of this?”
Thaddeus frowned, staring at Sinclair intently.
It was clear that Sinclair had deliberately led them to this island, knowing there were people here.
“President Surrey, there’s no need to be nervous. No one will harm you. Let me introduce you these people are all from the Sky Slasher Sect,” Sinclair said with a smile.
“What? The Sky Slasher Sect? Wasn’t the Sky Slasher Sect destroyed? And wasn’t Stanton, the sect master, captured? How can there still be members of the Sky Slasher Sect?”
Thaddeus was utterly confused, not understanding what was happening.
“Hahaha, Stanton was merely the vice sect leader of the Sky Slasher Sect. Later, due to differing views, he left the sect, taking some disciples with him to Epea. This guy has been acting under the name of Sky Slasher Sect, but how could our sect be so easily destroyed?”
At this moment, an elderly man in white, walking with a powerful and dignified gait, approached Thaddeus.
Though he appeared old, with wrinkles all over his face, his eyes shone with a sharp gleam, exuding an aura of authority.

Thaddeus glanced at Sinclair, realizing that Sinclair must have been the one to pass on the information. Otherwise, how could Ventus have known about his cooperation with Stanton?
All along, Thaddeus had thought his plan was flawless, but now it seemed that Sinclair was the real winner.
From the moment he joined the group, he might have anticipated this outcome.
Even leading Jared and the others into the storm-prone sea area was likely part of the plan.
Now, it was clear that taking Jared’s body to trade with the Demon Seal Alliance for the hundred-year offering was impossible. Everything had ended up benefiting the Sky Slasher Sect.
“Mr. Mulligan, we’re willing to cooperate with you!” Thaddeus could only force a smile and then turned to the other alchemists, saying, “Fellow alchemists, there’s no need to be anxious. Sky Slasher Sect won’t harm us, so let’s all relax.”
“President Surrey, I’ve prepared food and drink. Please, come,” Ventus said, making a gesture for them to follow.
Resigned, Thaddeus could only follow Ventus.
