“Exactly! We have our friends from the Duad Formation Sect with us. They’re famous for their magecraft in the central region. We have nothing to fear,” Wyatt chimed in, trying to reassure everyone.
Hearing this, many people began to feel more at ease. After all, with so many array masters working together, the formation would surely be strong enough to withstand the storm.
Meanwhile, Thaddeus and his group, who were still fleeing, saw Jared and the rest closing in.
Instead of fear, excitement flashed across their faces.
“President Surrey, they’ve fallen for it! It looks like a few spirit ships didn’t follow. They probably headed back to Epea,” Ernesto said.
“It doesn’t matter. As long as Jared follows us, we can use the stormy sea to kill him. Once he’s gone, we’ll receive a hundred-year offering from the Demon Sealing Alliance. With those resources, we’ll eventually be able to swallow up the rest of them,” Thaddeus replied with a smirk.
“That’s true, but the skies are clear, and the sea is calm. There’s no sign of a storm,” Ernesto remarked, looking up at the cloudless sky. “I hope Sinclair wasn’t lying to us.”
“Why would I deceive you? I’ve already explained that the storm-prone sea area doesn’t always have storms. They only appear at specific times. If you don’t believe me, you can change course at any moment,” Sinclair said from behind Ernesto, causing him to flinch in embarrassment.
Thaddeus intervened with a smile, “Mr. Sinclair, please don’t take it to heart. Mr. Boucher speaks his mind, but of course we trust you. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have sailed here.”

Seeing how respectful they were being, Sinclair beamed with satisfaction. He looked at the sky and said, “Adjust your course to the southeast. The storm will be here within fifteen minutes.”
“Southeast!” Thaddeus immediately gave the order.
“Mr. Chance, Thaddeus has changed course again,” Sigurd reported urgently.
“Follow him,” Jared ordered.
Just as Jared’s spirit ship continued chasing after Thaddeus, the spirit ship suddenly began to shake violently.
The spiritual array powering the spirit ship flickered a few times before extinguishing completely.
Without the spiritual array, the spirit ship couldn’t move.
“What’s going on? What happened?”
Wyatt and the others rushed to the front of the ship, all of them looking tense.
The once clear sky had suddenly turned pitch black. Dark clouds, like massive rolling waves, descended from above, gathering together ominously.
