Nate POV
The cells were to be guarded by Red Stone pack warriors, the Silver Moon warriors seemed a bit surprised by this change in events but followed my orders all the same.
I returned in the cover of darkness, keen not to be caught out by Evelyn, Cassandra or even Donnie. He was keeping a close watch on mine and Reuben’s movements since we took over the cell building watch.
“Beta.” One of my men nods to me as I enter the cell building in the early hours of the morning.
“Any movement?”
“Nothing since the evening, been quiet since then boss.”
“I want the vehicles ready at the back.. The bodies are to be driven out, they can’t stay on or near Silver Moon lands.” I order.
“Understood Beta.” The second warrior guard confirms acknowledgement of my clear instructions as he opens the cell door that we walked out of yesterday afternoon.
My stomach was made out of steel, nothing affected me but the strong pungent smell of stale blood suddenly brought slight nausea to my stomach.
Fuck, blood was everywhere as were body parts. The walls were covered, shit, the clean up would take longer than I had expected…we might even have to bloody paint now which won’t go as undetected as just cleaning.
I step in, my warriors closing the door behind me. I wouldn’t let him get past me, but they had orders to follow just in case.
I can feel eyes on me, someone has definitely come out as the winner.
My eyes cast around the room, looking for him, secretly hoping it was him whose bite was just as arrogant as his bark.
“Beta!” His voice greets me as I finally find him laying on the floor next to a dead decapitated body. It was like a horror movie in here, even the sole’s of my shoes were now covered in blood. I was leaving blood footprints with every step.
Well he certainly wasn’t someone to get on the wrong side of. I wonder if Vicky even knows the diamond that was hiding amongst her dirty rocks.
Except for the blood that covered him, he didn’t have one mark on him. It didn’t look as if he was even attacked back. He must have moved with such precision that I’m trying to think where he must have trained.
The Red Stone pack held the highest of standards for our warriors. Our training was unrivalled yet I had a feeling he could teach me some techniques.
“You could have been slightly tidier. These aren’t our usual surroundings. There’s only so much I can try and hide.” I raise an eyebrow at him trying to hide the fact that I was intrigued by his skills.
“Apologies Beta, things may have gotten away from me. I had hoped the Alpha King would have graced me with his presence again.” His black hair wasn’t even out of place, did he even have to work hard to do this? His olive skin tone didn’t seem to hold one spec of blood. It’s as if he moved even too fast for gravity to leave evidence.
“He’s otherwise engaged…” What exactly was he?
“I bet his is!” He smirks as he jumps up off the floor, his eyes holding a power behind them that I found intriguing. Something about the reddish tones which mixed with brown that had a way of enticing you in.
I’m not even sure how long I’ve been staring at his eyes but my wolf is warning me to look away.
“Careful Beta, I wouldn’t stare for too long.” He warns me, but I am still unable to tear my eyes away. I feel as if they are holding me in a trance. He breaks it, but closing his eyes which brings me back to my senses more.
“I’m waiting for location confirmation, but we will let you know by the mobile.” I hand him a large envelope which contains a mobile phone and a wad of cash to keep him going until we call upon him. It also contained information on what we wanted to find out.
“Anywhere I shouldn’t stay?”
