Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 82 by HusnaS

82. Shamelessly Eating Her Food

At The Harrisons Mansion.

With the help of the chef, Heidi cooked up some meals for Grandpa Winston. The maids transferred them to the dining area where Grandpa Winston was already waiting.

“Grandpa, I hope this will do. I rushed it unlike the other meals, so it might taste a bit different.” Heidi served him the dishes.

“Everything you cook is delicious to me. This old man only wants to eat the food prepared by his precious granddaughter-in-law.”

“Grandpa Winston, you can just call me your granddaughter.” Heidi felt embarrassed by being addressed with that title.

Grandpa Winston shook his head at her, chewing his food carefully, and savoring the aroma. “Heidi, stop pretending. I know you still love my grandson. Otherwise, why would you go to that engagement?”

Heidi’s presence at that engagement was only a coincidence.

The KU Designs CEO invited them to a dinner in that hotel for the meeting.

“It’s alright, Heidi. Since I have canceled that engagement, that treacherous girl can only dream about coveting my grandson.”

Grandpa Winston took Heidi’s silence as a display of her sadness.

Heidi wanted to defend herself when footsteps approached. Lucas hesitated at the doorway, seemingly surprised to see Heidi there.

Then he retained his blank look. ”

Grandpa, may I come in?”

“I thought you would spend the whole night caring for that pretentious girl who only wants to destroy my family!” Grandpa Winston berated, pushing his food aside.

“Grandpa, please calm down,” Heidi coaxed him.

Lucas stepped inside the room, putting on a regretful look. “It was a misunderstanding. Dad just confirmed that he was the one who ordered the engagement.”

“What difference does it make? Weren’t you keen on disrespecting me? Lucas Harrison, because of that girl, you have started drifting away from me. Tell me, how is she better than Heidi?”

Heidi, who was stuffing the food into her mouth, paused and shuddered.

She shut her eyes, wondering why Grandpa Winston was suddenly involving her in the conversation.

Heidi could feel Lucas’s gaze on her. He was probably glaring at her.

“Grandpa, please consider your health.” Lucas sat on the chair beside him. “Okay, I’m sorry for believing Tracy. Will you not be mad?”

“Have you finally come to your senses and realized that she is a pretentious vixen?”

Lucas didn’t reply, throwing Heidi a glance.

“Or did she cook up more lies to cover her sin?”

Grandpa Winston’s question made Lucas sigh. “Tracy visited you and you treated her well. Have you not stopped disliking her?”

“Was she the one who told you I treated her well?”

“Heidi, excuse us,” Lucas finally spoke to her.

“Gladly.” Heidi stood up with her food. Her ears were bleeding from hearing Tracy’s name again and again anyway.

“No, sit down, Heidi,” Grandpa Winston ordered. “Let’s both listen to what explanation he has concerning his mistress.”

Lucas stared at the food, then he glanced at Heidi.

From the moment he walked in, the familiar aroma had been the only thing occupying his senses. Seeing no room to chase Heidi away, he shamelessly served himself and began eating.

“You-” Heidi was lost for words.

Grandpa Winston became speechless as well. He thought Lucas wanted to chase Heidi away because he didn’t want her to be part of the conversation.

As it turned out, just like him, his grandson missed Heidi’s delicious cuisines.

“Lucas Harrison, who gave you permission to eat?” Heidi questioned.

“Yes, grandson. How could you eat without permission? Don’t you know that Heidi cooked this food?”

Grandpa Winston tried to put on a stern look, but the old man was happy inside.

Then he continued berating. “Tracy visited me, of course, but I didn’t treat her well. I only asked the servants to drench her with some water when she pretended to faint in front of me.”

“Pft!” Heidi covered her mouth, holding back her laughter.

Lucas looked displeased. “Tracy pretended to faint?”
