Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 60 by HusnaS

60. Playing A Psychological Game

Zach’s car came to a screeching halt, his eyes popping out. “Heidi, what are you doing?”

“Please give me a ride to StriveStyle Co.” Heidi hurried inside the car without waiting for him to speak.

Zach had no choice but to resume driving. “Grandpa’s so worried about you. Did something come up at the brand?”

“Yeah. I have to be there.”

Zach was worried about her health, but seeing Heidi working hard, he didn’t want to pull down her morale. So he dropped her off at the brand.

Heidi rushed into the office and found the employees gathering some broken chairs. “What’s going on?”

Isla hurried up to her. “Ms. Olsen, the situation is very bad. Fortunately, the policemen arrived on time to help the security men out. They just left with the hooligans.”

“What hooligans?”

Isla followed her to her office. “It’s about the Finance Department’s Manager who has gone missing. It is creating a buzz online, painting StriveStyle Co. as being careless about its employees. His wife came with an angry crowd a while ago and almost took down the company.”

“Was it that intense?” Heidi sat on her chair.

Isla nodded, “Yes,” and sat across from Heidi, looking tired.

Heidi sank into a deep thought. The finance department manager’s case was escalating into a big issue. “Have you received any report from the police?”

“There has been no report yet. From the looks of it, Ms. Olsen, the police haven’t found any evidence yet that the Finance Department’s Manager was either abducted or something else.”

Rising to her feet, Heidi took slow measured steps towards the window. The disappearance of the manager was starting to affect the brand’s reputation.

“Ms. Olsen, may I ask why you’re smiling?” Isla was taken aback by the sudden subtle smile Heidi displayed.

“What do you think?” Heidi let out a chuckle.

Isla shook her head in confusion. And Heidi returned to her chair and sat down.

“In this matter, there should be more than meets the eye. Don’t you think those people are playing a psychological game with us?”

“Really?” Isla gasped.

“It’s high time I speak with his wife personally. The next time she appears, don’t call the security-”

Heidi was in the middle of speaking when someone barged into the office.

“Aha! You have finally decided to show your face.” It was one of the board of directors. “Ms. Olsen, we requested a meeting last time but you turned it down. Are you now afraid to show your face to us?”

“Ms. Olsen is busy. Can you please book an appointment?” Isla stood up and tried to send him away.

The man ignored Isla. “You are afraid to confront us, that is why you are hesitant to attend the meeting. For your information, we are already planning a meeting with bigger Shareholders to overthrow you. Everyone will surely side with us because you haven’t made any significant changes to this brand yet. Even the President can’t save you.”

“You’re truly ambitious for thinking you can overthrow me easily.” Standing up, Heidi folded her hands. ” When I solve StriveStyle Co.’s problem, will you still say the same thing?”

“Can you even do it?” The man became wary, sensing the calmness in her tone.

“Do you want to make a bet?” Heidi raised a quizzical brow.

The man only grumbled some words and left.

“Ms. Olsen, these people are really out to get you. They don’t want you to uncover their dirty secrets.”

“Oh, I will.” Heidi laughed softly.

Sitting back on her chair, she said, ” About your assignment?”

“Ha! I almost forgot.” Isla slapped her forehead. “You can’t believe what I found, Ms. Olsen.”

“What did you find?”

Isla turned on her tablet and showed Heidi photos. “I luckily came across a guy online who sold me this information. Kate Anderson currently resides in GreyHills City. She lives in Crescent Avenue, a Villa located on the city’s outskirts.”

“That’s good.” Heidi nodded in satisfaction. She brought out her phone and dialed Zach’s number.

“Is the AG Group’s private jet available?”

“What’s up? Do you wanna go on a vacation with your favorite cousin?” Zach asked.

Heidi almost rolled her eyes. “It’s just for business. We’ll take off to GreysHills City tomorrow.”

Heidi hung up, and Isla looked hesitant and confused.

“Ms. Olsen…” Isla cleared her throat. ” It is simple information I got online. I’m not a hundred percent sure if that address is correct.”

“It’s better to give it a try, Isla,” Heidi said and took the tablet from Isla.

She stared at Kate Anderson’s photos, scrolling through them.

‘So you’ve been in GreyHills City and even became a superstar, Kate. Where are the Anderson’s other family members?’
