Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 51 by HusnaS

51. Erasing The Evidence

Lucas paused eating momentarily, his eyes staring past the table as if reminiscing some past memories. Tracy jabbed the spoon on her plate to grab the man’s attention, secretly giving the maid a glare.

“If you don’t eat, your food will lose its warmth, Lucas.”

As if he was swallowing a stone, the man’s expression twisted slightly as he gulped down spoonfuls of the soup.

“Young Master, I am very good at making omelets. Maybe I should make you a sandwich,” the maid went on, feeling guilty that her boss wasn’t satisfied with the food.

Oblivious that she was only fanning a particular flame, she spoke nonstop. My sandwich may not be as good as the ones made by the former Madam, but I’ll do my best.”

Lucas was once again distracted. Eating the bland food, he couldn’t help but lick his lips when he heard her mention Heidi’s sandwich.

“Can you please help me pour the soup?” Tracy had had enough, so she dragged the maid’s attention.

“Sure, Ma’am.” The maid walked forward and scooped the soup into a spoon, pouring it into a small bowl. Then suddenly, the table shook. The soup’s bowl rolled and splashed onto the maid’s apron.

“Oh no, I’m so sorry, are you hurt?” Tracy asked with concern.

Not comprehending what just happened, the maid was startled. Then she quickly bowed. “Please forgive my silliness. I- I’ll clean it up immediately, Young Master.”

The table was a mess as the soup had stained everything, not even the other foods were left out. Lucas lost his appetite instantly, and he stood up and headed upstairs.

“I’ll help you clean up,” Tracy offered, standing up and packing the plates away.

“You’re so kind, Ma’am.” The maid smiled amid her tears. However, as they reached inside the kitchen, Tracy closed the door and turned around, delivering a hard slap across the maid’s face.

“Smack!”

The sound echoed inside the kitchen, and the maid opened her mouth in shock, pressing her cheek. “М- Ma’am.”

“Be quiet!” A chill ran through Tracy’s eyes. “Don’t you realize by now that this house now has a new mistress? How dare you mock me openly? Who do you think you are?”

Tracy didn’t like the look on Lucas’s face as he ate the food she helped the maid prepare so painstakingly. Therefore, she rained her anger on the maid.

“If I ever hear you mention Heidi again, you’ll regret ever coming to this place.”

“I’m so sorry, Ma’am. I never knew you were the Young Master’s mistress.”

“Shut up. I’ll soon be his legal wife, so don’t ever think that you can disrespect me.”

The maid broke down into tears, apologizing profusely.

Tracy kicked her out of the way and stormed out of the kitchen.

While walking up the stairs, her stern expression transformed into a gentle one.

Pulling her lips into a subtle smile, she held the door open to the master’s bedroom.

Lucas was standing by the window, making a phone call.

From the other end, the person told him, “Mr. Harrison, the surveillance at the city hall had been tampered with, but I’ve already recovered it. Mrs. Harrison was definitely taken away by a black car. Unfortunately, that car doesn’t have a plate number.”

Lucas’s firm grip on the phone tightened.

Only someone so powerful could pull up such stunts.

After ending the call, he sent a text message.

[My instincts never fail me. If Stella has a hand in Heidi’s abduction and you’re aware of it, or you also have a hand in it, let her return safe and sound. Stop stooping so low.]

Lucas dropped his phone on the bedside table before entering the bathroom.

The man was oblivious to Tracy’s presence inside the room.

Tracy, who had heard every bit of the conversation, looked as if she would smash something.

Hearing the sound of running water from the bathroom, she stepped towards the bed and sat down, picking up the phone from the bedside table.

The screen wasn’t locked yet, so she tapped into it, going through every chat history. There was a message to the police, then to a guy named Ivan.

When Tracy saw the text he sent to Blake Harrison, veins popped up on her neck.

Instantly, she unsent the message before Blake Harrison received it.

She also returned to the previous contacts and sent a single message.

[Abort the assignment. No need to keep investigating.]

After making sure the other parties had received the texts, Tracy erased them from Lucas’s phone. She was about to drop the phone when the bathroom door creaked.

Lucas stepped out of the bathroom, and his eyes landed on her sitting on the bed.

“What are you doing with my phone?” He asked in a not-so-pleased tone.
