Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 28 by HusnaS

28. Firing The Bully Employees

At StriveStyle Co.

Isla walked into Heidi’s office with some reports in her hands, her face cascaded with a gloom which she tried to conceal under a stiff smile.

“What’s wrong?” Heidi looked up.

“It is regarding the hiring of new models, Ms. Olsen. No agency wants to work with us.”

“Really?” Heidi’s brows furrowed slightly.

Isla nodded, placing the reports in front of her. “Ms. Olsen, StriveStyle Co. Is in a hot spot due to the scandal going around between the GK Group and AG Group.”

“Clearly, those agencies are afraid to offend a powerful company like GK Group. Seeing that AG Group is less intimidating, they’re taking sides already.”

‘Damn you! Lucas Harrison,’ Heidi pinched her nose bridge, cursing inside her mind.

“Well, if they don’t want to hire models for us, it’s fine. We can reach out to those models ourselves, right?”

“Ms. Olsen, about that.” Isla sighed. “A small subsidiary like us isn’t capable of doing that. We’ll have to set up an Agency, then hire staff who know the ins and outs of the entertainment industry and have keen eyes for picking out suitable models.”

“We can set that up in the future.” Heidi picked up the report and went through it. “At this critical moment, StriveStyle Co. needs to work with outstanding models to keep the brand’s legacy.

“Letting the brand stay dormant is more disadvantageous than working with fake models.”

“Got it, Ms. Olsen.” Isla brought out her tablet and scribbled some notes on it..

“About the meeting with the Finance Department’s Manager. Didn’t you relay my message?”

“I did, Ms. Olsen. Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten any response from him yet.”

Heidi frowned, finding it strange.

“I have also sent him a reminder email this morning.”

“Mm. You may leave.”

After dismissing Isla, Heidi pondered for a while.

Then she resumed what she was doing, going through some reports and signing some documents.

The work hours were almost over when she finally left the office and headed towards the Finance Department.

On getting there, Heidi only met three employees. “Where are the rest?”

“Ms. Olsen, they’re not here.” One of the female employees hurried forward and explained, “A majority of them have stopped coming since StriveStyle Co. started falling.”

Heidi was already aware of that, but she didn’t expect the Finance Department to be so scarce.

“Where is the Manager?” She looked towards the office whose door was shut. “You’re his assistant, right?”

“Uhm, yes. Ms. Olsen, about the Manager.” The lady broke into a cold sweat. “H-He just left, didn’t you meet him on your way here?”

Obviously, the lady was hiding something from her. Heidi arched a brow, her lips curling slightly. “Of course, I just met him on the way.”

“Huh?” The young lady blinked.

Heidi chuckled, stepping forward to stand in front of her. “Tell me where the Manager is. You don’t want to be labeled as a liar, right? I don’t need to tell you the consequences.”

“Ms. Olsen,” She stammered, her expression pale. “I- I, he hasn’t been picking up my calls, then suddenly, the phone calls stopped connecting. I really don’t know where he is, it’s been a week and he hasn’t shown up.”

Was it a coincidence that Heidi started coming just a week ago?

“Keep calling him. Once you reach him, let me know.”

Heidi left the Finance Department, feeling more devastated than ever.

With this amount of chaos, not only the major employees, even the minor employees were contributing to the brand’s downfall.

“Ha! Isn’t she shameless. I saw it with my own eyes because I was at the party after squeezing in through a friend’s friend.”

“Ah! So that means she’s the bone of contention. How can someone be so shameless to cause chaos between those powerful men?”

“Mr. Zach Olsen is only blinded by her beauty. It’s shocking that a man like him would chase after a divorced woman.”

The three ladies gossiped so loudly as they headed towards the elevator. Heidi who was closely walking behind couldn’t take it anymore, so she cleared her throat.

“How fortunate, you’re not part of the corrupt employees who laundered money or engaged in illegal collaborations. Sadly, you lack the proper employee etiquette, badmouthing others.”

The three ladies all turned around, and Heidi recognized them as the same ladies inside the elevator that day.

But instead of looking shocked this time, they put on smug smiles.

“There’s news everywhere that you’re Zach Olsen’s woman, it is no longer a speculation. As a divorcee, isn’t it considered a shameless act?”

“Mr. Harrison is an outstanding bachelor with a great reputation. It’s a surprise that his ex-wife turned out to be someone like you.”

“Zach Olsen is young and picks his women meticulously. What witchcraft did you use to seduce him?”

Kelly, Raine, and Becca.

Heidi had collected information about them. Although they didn’t engage in any illegal activities, their characters’ mission was bullying other employees.

“I told you I’m not a saint.” Heidi shook her head, laughing softly. “Since you refused to listen to my warning, you may kindly leave.”

“Wait, what?”

“You’re fired.” Heidi shrugged.
