Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 130 by HusnaS

130. Take Responsibility

Lucas waited patiently, listening to her soft breathing. For a few moments, Heidi didn’t speak. Then she replied, “Does it make any difference?”

“Yes, it does.”

Lucas could sense her shifting uncomfortably, but he didn’t sense the sudden anger.

“Lucas Harrison, you scumbag! Don’t ever call me again!”

She hung up brutally, the beeping sound disturbing his ears.

Lucas stared at the phone, an indescribable emotion in his eyes.

“Honey, what are you looking at?”

Tracy’s eyes were filled with envy, and she pretended to be oblivious to who he just made a phone call with.

“What do you want?” Lucas turned around. “Why did you follow me here?”

“I followed you to your office so we could discuss what happened between us. You aren’t gonna shun your responsibilities, are you?”

Tracy said, hinting that Lucas slept with her so he should take responsibility.

Lucas’s expression frosted. “I told you we’re going to end this relationship. Last night was an accident.”

If Tracy, in her weak state, hadn’t begged so fervently, Lucas wouldn’t have attended the gala.

One thing led to another and he did the most regretful thing in his life.

“It wasn’t my fault, Honey.” Tracy held his arm gently, letting her tears fall and acting pitiful. “It’s the fault of your business rivals who drugged your drink. If I hadn’t been there to save you, they would have set you up with another woman and caused a scandal.”

“Lucas Harrison,” she sobbed. “Aren’t you gonna take responsibility for my lost dignity? It’s my first time, you know.”

Now Heidi had become an even greater threat to her. Who would have thought that she had a hidden identity?

Tracy needed to act fast before Heidi fully snatched Lucas from her.

After Dropping The Phone,

Heidi sniffed back her tears, chuckling and laughing to herself.

She didn’t even know why she was mad. She shouldn’t be mad. Of course, it would make a difference now that she wasn’t just Heidi, but Heidi Olsen in his eyes.

Lucas just proved to her what a scumbag he could be.

She’d given him her body again, and what she got in return was a crushing realization that he’d never love her for who she was, but for what she was.

In The Next Few Days,

Things were running smoothly, because not a single phone call came from Lucas again.

Heidi should be happy and relieved, right?

She just wanted to be left alone so she could preserve some of her dignity.

“Ms. Olsen, are you alright?” Isla’s voice brought her back to the present. ”

You have been spacing out for a while now.”

“I’m fine.” Heidi’s head was aching, and she rubbed it gently.

“I was reporting about the rapid progress of our plan. The post Kate Anderson made on her social media is also gaining massive reactions from fans. Harold Olsen will soon lose all his defenses.”

“Oh…” Heidi should be enthusiastic, but the source of the sudden gloom in her heart was unknown to her.

Of course, she wasn’t gloomy about Harold Olsen’s plight.

“Almost everyone in Phoenix City has known your true identity. How does it feel, Ms. Olsen?”

Chaotic?

That was the only word Heidi could think of. Not a day went by without her getting interview invitations from media houses.

Paparazzi were always lurking around the brand, in order to bombard her with questions.

In the past, Heidi felt like a free bird, but now she felt caged.

Heidi was about to answer Isla’s question when her phone rang.

Seeing Grandpa Winston’s contact flashing on the screen, discomfort * crept inside her heart, hoping it wasn’t something that concerned Lucas.

“Heidi, I heard the rumors. Are they true?” Grandpa Winston sounded confused.

Heidi sighed and admitted that it was true. “Grandpa, I’m sorry I hid my identity. It was for a reason.”

“Who cared about your identity, Heidi?” Grandpa Winston’s words sent her sighing in relief.

“At least, you didn’t lie to us that you were an orphan or abandoned child. When I asked where you came from, you said the past didn’t matter, but you would devote your whole life to serving my grandson. So I guessed you must have some misunderstanding with your family.”
