Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 109 by HusnaS

109. No Longer Know Each Other

Forget it?

How could Lucas ever forget that precious moment they shared when it also came with the regret of the realization that he’d misunderstood her a lot?

He accused Heidi of throwing herself at men, but she turned out a virgin.

He thought her to be a gold digger, but was it the truth?

“Heidi, listen to me…” Lucas said softly. “About Tracy, there’s nothing between us – I mean, there will no longer be anything between us. I will end our relationship-”

“I don’t care!” Heidi enunciated each word, her tears refusing to dry up. “You might as well get into a relationship with every single girl in Phoenix City then break up, Lucas Harrison, I don’t freaking care!”

Lucas’s expression twisted between hurt and regret. “However, you’re the only girl I want a relationship with. Heidi, Steve Anderson can not give you half of what I will.”

Again, he thought she was only after money. Heidi wanted to laugh, but the bitterness in her heart wouldn’t let her.

She glared at him. “Why don’t you just remain silent for once? Do you think I am after anyone’s money talk more of yours? Lucas Harrison, while we were together, did I ever ask you for a penny?”

Lucas became conflicted at what to say next. It was true that Heidi never took a penny from him.

Fortunately, his phone rang at that moment, saving him from the hassle of saying anything that could potentially hurt her feelings.

In his haste, to answer the call, his hand accidentally clicked the hands- free button.

“Good evening, Mr. Harrison.” The voice of a woman sounded.

“I am the new lawyer your grandfather hired. Concerning your divorce, I have retrieved the necessary documents from the city hall. Can we meet at your office tomorrow so you and your ex- wife can put the final signatures?”

Lucas’s hand tightened around the phone, hearing the word ‘Divorce’

Looking tongue-tied, he shook his head, about to utter the word, “No-”

But Heidi beat him to it. “Yes. Let’s meet tomorrow at his office tomorrow morning. We are going to finalize the divorce once and for all.”

Certain that the lady had heard her words, Heidi folded her hands, spitting out the words,

“From tomorrow, everything is going to end. You and I will no longer know each other, Lucas Harrison.”

Outside The Washroom,

Tracy was seething with bitter jealousy as she listened to the conversation going on inside the washroom.

She pressed her ear to the door, gritting her teeth.

She was supposed to be happy that the divorce would be finalized, but she felt greatly troubled by how Lucas treated Heidi.

Tracy’s heart beat with uneasiness, her mind telling her that something horrible was doomed to happen.

On the other side of the door was Steve, who was watching her silently.

Suddenly, Heidi rushed out of the washroom with Lucas hurrying after her, calling out to her desperately.

The bitterness in Tracy’s heart increased, watching Lucas rush inside the elevator with Heidi.

Steve, looking astonished, returned to his senses. Quickly, he turned for the elevator to go after Heidi too-

“Steve Anderson.” Tracy stopped him, giving him a tentative look. “Don’t you think it is useless?”

Tracy blocked his path, retaining a normal expression. She smiled sadly. ” For Lucas Harrison’s wealth, there’s no doubt that Heidi won’t leave him alone easily. Until she finds someone richer than him, she will continue throwing herself at random me to catch Lucas’s attention.”

It was as if Tracy was speaking to the air. Steve simply ignored her, his silence crushing her pride.

Balling her fists, Tracy added, “Any man that tries to court Heidi ends up in destruction. Zach Olsen is enough example. When you men are only after beautiful women, you lose your senses and do things that will cost you a lot. Can’t you see through the frivolous woman Heidi is?”

“Young Lady, do we know each other?” Steve finally looked at her.

Seeing that she’d gotten his attention, Tracy’s scornful look transformed into a smile. “It doesn’t matter if we know each other or not. When I see someone about to get into danger, it is my duty as a human to warn them of the impending storm.”

“What if I told you I can weather any kind of storm for Heidi’s sake?”

“That’s insane. But if you’re truly serious about Heidi, I think we can benefit each other.”

“What do you mean?”

Tracy sauntered forward and lowered her voice, a smug smile forming on her lips. “While I make sure Lucas Harrison never stands in your way, do something for me in return. How about we keep in touch?”

Steve narrowed his eyes, taking a few seconds to study her. “Is that all?” He asked.

Tracy was taken aback by his instant consent. “Yeah…” Her eyes glinted. ”

That will be all.”
