For some reason, his words made her feel dreary. She felt sorry that he had to live overseas alone at that age without any of his children or relatives by his side. The thought weighed down on her but alas, she did not say anything else.
After she sent Yu Bo off, Han Muzi returned to her room. She opened her laptop and went on Wikipedia to search for information on the Yuchi Enterprise. She did not know much about their family, but now, she was curious to know more. If it’s possible, perhaps we can bring the old man back with us when we return home. After all, he’s already so old. Right after he finally found his family, he has to return to being alone again. That feeling of loss is the most painful.
Han Muzi read up on a lot of information. She was still focused on her computer when Little Bean came out of the shower. Little Bean still had the fresh shower scent on him as he reached up and placed his small hands on her neck. “What are you looking at, Mommy?”
When she heard the child’s voice, she grabbed his hands and said lightly, “Just doing some research. Are you done with your shower?”
Little Bean gave a coy nod. Then, he saw the news on her screen and asked aloud, “Isn’t that Great-Grandfather?”
“Yes, it is.” Han Muzi was researching the Yuchi Family. There was a ton of information about their enterprise on Wikipedia along with some recorded interviews. After watching them, she noticed that the old man was always self-assured and calm as he spoke and answered every one of the questions. Nonetheless, there was always a short segment toward the end of some videos and some of the interview questions were dense—such as asking Yuchi Jin whether his family’s support was the reason for his success.
However, they were trying to be cunning in those questions. While no one knew the particulars of what happened to Yuchi Jin’s family or why his children left him, everyone knew that such a thing did happen. How did an interviewer not have access to that sort of information? Still, it would not have been courteous to ask straightforwardly, so they used different methods and worked their way around it.
The moment the old man was asked about his family, though, his high-standing nature quickly became sullen. His presence instantly looked significantly more gloomy. He looked at the reporter who asked the question and said coldly, “This job must not be right for you. How can you ask a question like that?”
As they were broadcasting live at the time, the inexperienced reporter did not expect to be called out by such a renowned entrepreneur. The reporter quickly became flustered and had a hard time responding. Luckily, there was an experienced reporter on the scene who stepped in to help. The situation was swiftly amended but the interview received backlash after that.

Looking at all the comments, Han Muzi just shook her head helplessly. These netizens must have been so bored to start a fight in the comments section. But… She sighed. Suddenly, she heard Little Bean’s voice. “Mommy, that reporter was so mean. She obviously knew it was a scar in Great-Grandfather’s life, but she still asked on purpose.”
She lifted Little Bean up on her thighs and closed the video she was watching. Then, she said, “I think she crossed the line too. She shouldn’t rub salt into other people’s wounds. But she might have done it to bring some impact and boost her own performance, so it’s understandable.”
“Hmph! She bullied Great-Grandfather. I don’t want to understand her!”
Han Muzi let out a small smile and gently caressed his head. “So, no matter what you choose to do in the future, Little Bean, you have to do it with sincerity. Even if you want to see results, you can’t get it by using other people’s pain.”
Little Bean nodded his head firmly. “I understand, Mommy!”
“Good boy.”
After that, the mother and son duo went on to look up other videos. Little Bean was sprawled out and looking at the laptop in fascination. He only turned back to look at Han Muzi after some time. “Mommy, why did Great-Grandfather send me back today?”
Just then, she remembered everything Yu Bo told her earlier. She hesitated to tell Little Bean all of that and instead, tested the waters as she asked, “Little Bean, do you want to go back home with Mommy and Daddy?”
Little Bean blinked his gleaming bright eyes. “I want to!” He nodded his head eagerly then slowly tilted his head as a thought crossed his mind. “But I feel bad for Great-Grandfather. I also want to stay here and accompany him.”
I see. She knew her darling son was always considerate of others, but being too considerate tended to advantage others while disadvantaging the self.
Little Bean made it clear that he wanted to follow his parents back, but because of his empathetic feelings for his great-grandfather, he eventually chose to give in and stay by his great-grandfather’s side. That was equivalent to taking away his preferences and opinions. How could she willingly let her son be like this at his age? It looked like she had to find a chance to talk to Ye Moxuan about the plan she thought of earlier.
“Alright, let me and Daddy discuss this and see if we can bring your great-grandfather back with us when the time comes. Then, you’ll be able to see Daddy and Mommy every day while also accompanying your great-grandfather.”
He blinked again. “Is that possible? Will Great-Grandfather come back with us?”
“It all depends on you, Little Bean,” she teased as a mischievous look flashed across her eyes.
Little Bean looked at her innocently. Why does it feel like Mommy is trying to deceive me?
Han Muzi leaned in affectionately and pressed her cheek against his. She said in a low voice, “I have something to discuss with you. Why don’t you stay here with your great-grandfather for now while Mommy and Daddy go back to settle some matters then come back again to get you guys?”
