He wanted to find fault with Shen Qi, because he saw her with another man.
This feeling upset him terribly, so when he met her, he subconsciously said those things to hurt her feelings.
But now she had become so obedient, like a lifeless puppet. The restlessness in his heart did not disappear. Instead, it became worse.
What should she call him?
Ye Moxuan sneered, “You have always been straightforward in calling my name. Why are you pretending to be obedient now?”
Shen Qi lowered her gaze. “I’ll be more mindful in the future.”
“Come here!” Ye Moxuan was really going to be driven crazy by her.
Shen Qi paused for a while, then took a few steps forward.
”You asked what you could do for me, right? Now, push my wheelchair back.”
“Alright.” Shen Qi moved behind him expressionlessly, then pushed his wheelchair forward.
Gloom was written all over his face, as though he was owed all the money in the world. One looked gloomy, and the other looked depressed. When they moved past the living room, everyone was stunned by this gloominess.
Knowing that they were in a bad mood, the maids fled the scene.
After sending him back to their room, she said, “We’ve arrived. If there’s nothing else I shall do some cleaning up.”
After the talk, Shen Qi went to her wardrobe to take some clothes. When it was opened, it was completely stuffed with clothes that Ye Moxuan bought for her. She was stunned, then she moved to close it.
But before she could do so, her hand was held in place.
Shen Qi turned around and realized that it was Ye Moxuan who stopped her from closing the wardrobe, staring at her coldly.
“You despise the clothes I bought for you so much that you won’t even put them on?”
Shen Qi took a step back and said seriously, “Young Master Ye, you must be joking with me. It’s just a marriage of convenience between us. I don’t deserve these clothes.”
After the talk, she turned around and left. But her arm was held when she moved past Ye Moxuan.
“What if I insist that you wear them?”
Shen Qi frowned, and looked at the hand that was holding her wrist.
After a short while, she nodded. “Alright.”
He loosened his grip on her. Shen Qi moved forward and casually took out a set of clothes, then she went to the bathroom.
Ye Moxuan punched the wardrobe hard.
Damn it!
It’s true that he wanted her to put on the clothes he bought for her. Now that she agreed to wear them, he was still not satisfied with it.
Not long after she entered the bathroom, the sound of water gushing was heard. Then the phone she left on the bed rang, but she could not hear it in the bathroom. Ye Moxuan ignored it at first, but the phone kept on ringing. Ye Moxuan sneered, then turned his wheelchair forward.
He picked up the phone and took a look. An unfamiliar number appeared on the screen; he then answered the call.
Before he could speak, the person on the other line could not hold his excitement and said, “Qi, you finally answered my call.”
Qi? How intimate! Ye Moxuan squinted, his eyes brimming with danger.
But the person on the other end of the line was not aware of the danger he was in, so he continued to speak softly, “Qi, are you willing to forgive me now? It was not my intention for what happened in the hospital this morning. Those things I said were all trash talk. Please don’t be mad at me.”
“Qi, I miss you. I miss our happier days in the past. Can you… give me a second chance?”
“Qi, why are you not talking?”
Ye Moxuan sneered. He realized that it was Shen Qi’s ex husband who was calling to catch up with her. He took the phone away to look at the number, then he placed the phone beside his ear again, and spoke with ridicule, “Are you asking for a chance for death?”
The man on the other end paused, and in a short moment, the call disconnected with a beep.
Obviously, that man hung up the phone because he was scared. He wanted to make up with Shen Qi, but he was cowardly when confronted.
Hmph, why would that stupid woman fall for such a man?
She even wanted to keep his baby after marrying for the second time. Is she brainless or what?

When that realization dawned on him that Shen Qi was still pregnant with her ex husband’s child, Ye Moxuan’s gaze dimmed. She still misses her ex husband; that’s why she’s adamant about keeping the child.
If she knew that her ex husband called to make up with her, would she agree to it?
Thinking that there’s a chance that Shen Qi might reunite with her trashy ex, Ye Moxuan could not contain his fury anymore.
He whipped out his phone and made a call to Xiao Su.
“183XXXXXXX. Go find the address where this number is attached. That’s Shen Qi’s ex husband. Get me every piece of information about him.”
Xiao Su had just left the house when he got the call from Ye Moxuan. He was surprised that it was Shen Qi’s ex husband’s information that Ye Moxuan was looking for. “Young Master Ye, why do you need information about Assistant Shen’s ex? That man has no importance to us whatsoever right?”
“Just do as you’re told. Why talk so much bullsh*t?”
Ye Moxuan hung up on Xiao Su. Even though Xiao Su had all kinds of questions now, he could do nothing but ascertain the man’s information as he was told.
Shen Qi was done with her shower pretty quickly. When she came out from the bathroom, everything was fine, as if nothing had happened. She saw that Ye Moxuan was sitting on her bed, so she went over and gave him a curious look.
Ye Moxuan turned his gaze to her.
She was clothed in a pinkish ice silk dress, the straight neckline revealing her beautiful collarbones. After a shower, her skin looked fair and soft. Looking at her, Ye Moxuan’s gaze clouded with lust.
Now that Shen Qi finally wore the clothes he bought, Ye Moxuan did not know how to put his feelings into words.
“What are you doing here?” Shen Qi went over and realized that the phone that she had left on the bed was missing.
She turned around and saw that it was in Ye Moxuan’s hand.
“What are you doing with my phone? Give it back to me!” Shen Qi was shocked and took a few steps forward to snatch her phone. Her eagerness revealed that she was nervous about it.
When he saw that Shen Qi was so eager to get her phone back, Ye Moxuan squinted, his eyes filled with danger, and hid the phone in his arms.
“Why are you so nervous about it? Is there something in your phone that I cannot see?”
Shen Qi paused upon hearing that, then a frightening idea crossed her mind. She bit her lip and said, “Young Master Ye, don’t tell me that you’re going to confiscate my phone.”
There were her conversations with Han Xueyou on her phone. Should he find out about it, then the thing about her child would be exposed. Shen Qi turned pale at the thought of it.
“So what if I want to confiscate your phone?” His gaze was cold. “There’s a label on your head that reads my name. You are my woman. All your possessions belong to me. So what if I’m going to confiscate your phone?”
“You can’t do that. Give it back to me!” she said.
“Give it back to you? Alright, but with one condition,” he smirked.
“What is it? I will do anything you ask me to as long as my phone is returned.” From the looks of it, Shen Qi knew he definitely had a condition.
She could never let anyone find out that she was pregnant with a stranger’s child.
“You really will do anything? Alright then, give me a kiss and I will return your phone.”
