Seeing how long that message was, Ye Moxuan decided to read through it multiple times. As the rest saw how the manager of the talent marketing department had offered his solution, they had all decided to follow suit and come up with many different ways of pleasing a child while fighting to send them out.
Ye Moxuan looked at the messages for a long time, and his head started to hurt. He then decided to give Xiao Su a call. At this point, Xiao Su was in the shower. He did not think too much about it when he heard the WeChat notifications on his phone until the notifications were piling in endlessly as if the phone was possessed.
He was still thinking who that bold person might be that dared to spam the group chat with so many messages. He told himself that when he got to his phone, he would block that person. Shortly after that… a call came in.
Normally, under this circumstance, only two kinds of people would call him—the first was the delivery man, the second was…
Xiao Su still had soap all over his body when he grabbed a towel and stormed out of the bathroom to answer the call. “Y-Young Master Ye?”
“Please summarize all the messages in the group chat later and send them to my email.”
“Messages in the group chat? Summarize?” He had missed all the messages in the group chat because he had been in the shower, so when he learned about this instruction from Ye Moxuan, Xiao Su was utterly confused.
Before he could even react, Ye Moxuan had already hung up the phone. Hearing that the call had ended, Xiao Su quickly opened the group chat on WeChat and frantically scrolled through it. It took him a while before he found out what was happening.
D*mn it! Are these people out of their minds? How did they send out so many messages while I was in the shower?
When he recalled that he had not finished taking his shower, he immediately put his phone down and went back to wash off all the soap on him. After he came out, he realized there was another thread of messages.
Xiao Su was at a loss for words. These d*mned guys! He did not even have time to eat before he had to busy himself with getting the information that Ye Moxuan asked for.
On the other side, when Little Bean came in and looked for Han Muzi, she was still sleeping—wrapped in her blanket. Little Bean came over and called her multiple times until she finally opened her eyes.
Finding Little Bean standing right in front of her, Han Muzi blinked her eyes. She looked somewhat surprised.
“Little Bean, why are you here? Did Daddy bring you home?” She lifted her blanket after speaking, signaling Little Bean to come in and snuggle with her in the blanket.
This was considered a normal interaction between them, as Little Bean used to sleep next to Han Muzi. He would sometimes wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, and when he came back, Han Muzi would subconsciously lift a corner of the blanket for him to crawl back in.
Sure enough, when he saw that a corner of the blanket was lifted, Little Bean quickly took off his shoes and crawled into the bed to be with Han Muzi. His tiny hands were as soft as cotton candy and they were wrapped around her slim waist; his warm touch made Han Muzi chuckle. She reached out and pinched Little Bean’s nose.
Little Bean seemed to be upset as he wrinkled his nose and avoided her eyes. “Bad Mommy, are you going to abandon me if he didn’t come and pick me up? My presence here doesn’t seem to make you happy!”
Han Muzi responded, “Who says I am not happy? How can you tell how I am feeling?”
“But you just asked me why I am here!”
“That’s because I was curious. Also, I just woke up, so my brain is not entirely awake. If I said something that hurt you, please forgive me.” After saying that, Han Muzi leaned forward and affectionately rubbed her cheek against Little Bean.
“Alright?” She lowered her voice while she softly and gently consoled Little Bean, who still had his hands around her waist.
Little Bean was indeed a little child. Normally, when he conversed with her, she felt that Little Bean was all grown up, and for him to be a little more independent, she gave him a room to himself. Right now, as she was looking at how he was in her arms, he still felt like a little child to her.
She used to think that Little Bean lacked fatherly love, and he would never feel complete no matter how much care and love she raised him with. But there was nothing to be afraid of anymore. Little Bean had a daddy who would coddle him, albeit five years later… However, it was not too late.
“Hmph. Naughty Mommy… since you have apologized to me, I’ll make an exception and forgive you!” Little Bean happily finished his words and kissed Han Muzi on her cheek.
The mother-son duo was enjoying their time with each other and a moment later, Han Muzi asked, “By the way, did you call him ‘Daddy’ today?”
Little Bean, who was in her arms, went silent for a few seconds before he started shaking his head.
Han Muzi continued, “Why did you not call him ‘Daddy’? Are you still reluctant to accept him?”
Little Bean unhappily pouted and responded, “I don’t want to call him ‘Daddy’.”
“Look… who was the one who kept asking me to find him a daddy? Now that I have found one for you, you are still refusing to call him ‘Daddy’. Why are you like this?”
Little Bean could not provide an adequate explanation in front of Han Muzi. He grunted, “Do you think that I am a handful now that you have Daddy? Is it because I don’t make money and I have to spend your money to go to college, while that mister is rich, so you’re starting to dislike me?”
These words made Han Muzi laugh. She helplessly stretched out her hand and rubbed Little Bean’s head.
“Come, tell me; what have you been thinking? Why do you miss me so much? I was pregnant with you for ten whole months before giving birth to you, so you are my flesh and blood. Why would I ever dislike you?”
Little Bean pouted. “But I don’t want to call him ‘Daddy’. Are you mad at me?”
“You really don’t want to call him ‘Daddy’?” Han Muzi raised her eyebrows. “Have you ever thought that if you call him ‘Daddy’, you would make him happy and he would start buying things for you?”
“I don’t want those things!” Little Bean disagreed. “I only want him to be nice to you.” He then immediately held her tightly and buried his head in her arms. “I won’t let anyone bully you. Mommy… if he is not nice to you, you have to tell me.”
“Silly you. If he is not nice to me, I would have left him ages ago. It’s because of how nice he treats me that I chose to be with him and let you call him ‘Daddy’. Do you understand?”
She understood that her child was better than the average kid, and he would be able to understand many things in life if proper explanations and reasons were given. Han Muzi felt relieved and continued saying, “Your father and I used to have a lot of misunderstandings, but they have all been resolved now. I would like to spend the rest of my life with him. It doesn’t matter whether or not you call him ‘Daddy’ at this point; both of you… have a lot of time to get to know each other in the future. Even if you are reluctant to call him ‘Daddy’ now, one day… I’m sure you’ll be willing to do so.”
Little Bean blinked. “So what you mean is… you’re going to marry him?”
Speaking of the wedding, Han Muzi showed the ring on her finger to Little Bean. “Yes. Your daddy has asked me to marry him.”
