“I think she’s going to the Lu Group.”
Ye Moxuan’s gaze darkened and his thin lips curled into a sneer. “She really is reckless.”
“Young Master Ye, Lu Xunchang is not a good person. Should we—”
“No.” Ye Moxuan interrupted him. Then, in a cold voice, he said, “She voluntarily went to him. Let’s see how hard-headed she can be.”
“But!” Xiao Su worriedly said, “Mr. Lu is lecherous. What if—”
Ye Moxuan narrowed his eyes and shouted, “If anything happens, it’s her fault!”
As such, Xiao Su didn’t know how to reply to him.

Meanwhile, at the Lu Group.
“Xunchang, you told me you were going to visit me last night; I waited for you at home for a long time but you never came. Don’t you love me anymore?” the woman in the hot dress said flirtatiously as she rubbed herself against Lu Xunchang’s body, her hands around his neck.
Lu Xunchang chuckled and buried his face in her neck. “Darling, I had a business meeting last night, hence I was busy. I’ll go to your house tonight?”
“Really? Don’t you lie to me,” the woman said before she pouted her lips, asking him for a kiss.
Darkness flashed across Lu Xunchang’s face as his hand laced around the woman’s waist. Pulling her closer to him, he lowered his head to kiss her.
“President Lu,” a soft woman’s voice suddenly rang out.
Lu Xunchang immediately stopped what he was doing. Upset, he turned to see who was the person that had interrupted him and the woman in his arms.
Shen Qi clenched the bag in her hands tightly and stood there as she watched them awkwardly. It is indeed pretty impolite to interrupt people’s sweet time together but what happened at the park last time taught me a lesson. If I don’t stop Lu Xunchang now, he and that woman will probably do something R-rated in front of me. Even though I can close my eyes, I don’t have the time to wait.
When Lu Xunchang saw that it was Shen Qi, he narrowed his eyes a little. “Oh, it’s you.”
“Darling, do you know her?” When the woman saw Shen Qi, her gaze immediately became hostile as she looked at her warily.

After she heard Lu Xunchang’s question, she reached her hand into her bag and took out her business card before passing it to Lu Xunchang. “My name is Shen Qi. I’m the assistant of President Ye Moxuan from the Ye Group.”
It was obvious the woman was upset when she said, “Since you are from the Ye Group, why are you here at Lu Group?”
Shen Qi looked at her and smiled as she replied, “It’s because I have some business to discuss with President Lu.”
Her tone was neither humble or haughty; there wasn’t any expression on her face as her eyes were fixed on Lu Xunchang.
Lu Xunchang looked at her for a moment and chuckled before he said, “What makes you think you’re worthy enough to discuss business with me? If the Ye Group wants my cooperation, ask Young Master Ye to personally discuss it with me.”
“President Lu, I hope you can understand that it’s inconvenient for Young Master Ye to travel around in a wheelchair,” Shen Qi said emotionlessly.
After staring at Shen Qi for a while, Lu Xunchang suddenly told the woman in his arms, “Go on and head home first.”
The woman was angry and unwilling to leave so she whined, “Xunchang, I don’t want to. I want you to accompany me back home.”
“Be obedient.” Lu Xunchang said with a stern look on his face; the drastic change in his aura made the woman so scared that her hand trembled a little as she stared at him blankly.
Then, Lu Xunchang patted her head and said, “The women I like most are women who are obedient.”
“Well… okay. Then I’ll be leaving now.”
Before the woman left, she glared at Shen Qi; it was obvious that she thought Shen Qi was her rival in love.
Shen Qi caught her reaction but she remained calm.
After the woman left, Lu Xunchang took out his car keys and said, “Let’s discuss it in the car.”
Shen Qi felt a shiver run down her spine upon hearing that. She then gritted her teeth and said, “President Lu, there is a cafe right outside. I think it is a suitable venue for us to discuss business.”
“You are the one who came to meet me. Shouldn’t I be the one to decide the venue?” Then, Lu Xunchang suddenly took a step forward, looking like he was about to hug Shen Qi. Shen Qi was so startled that she staggered back a few steps and asked, “President Lu, may I ask what venue do you have in mind?”
“Just get in the car!”
Startled, Shen Qi straightened her back and stood still.
However, she didn’t realize that the more serious she was, the more Lu Xunchang wanted to tease her so that he could see her panicked reaction.
How long has it been since I’ve met such an interesting woman? I guess it’s probably since I got rich. It’s been so long I don’t even remember.
Shen Qi bit her lower lip and looked at him as she asked, “If I get in the car, does it mean that you will work with the Ye Group?”
Lu Xunchang’s lips curled into a grin when he heard her question. “Well, I’ll have to see how sincere you are.”
Shen Qi frowned at his answer; she knew something bad would happen to her if she followed him.
“Let’s just get in the car. I’m not going to do anything to you. The sky is not even dark yet,” Lu Xunchang said as he batted his eyelids. When Shen Qi saw that, she got goosebumps. What a terrifying man!
She immediately turned to leave.
“Isn’t it a little too late for you to back out now?” Lu Xunchang said as he hurriedly chased after her, “I even asked my female companion to leave because of you. Assistant Shen, I believe you aren’t that unreasonable, are you?”
“I’m heading to the cafe right outside the building. It’s up to you to decide whether you want to join me or not!”
With that, Shen Qi forcefully shook off Lu Xunchang’s hand and walked out of the parking lot.
Her straightened back, thin figure and determined expression aroused Lu Xunchang’s interest in her. His gaze roamed her back before it stopped at her bottom.
After Shen Qi entered the cafe, she chose a table at a quiet corner and sat down. Two minutes later, Lu Xunchang entered the cafe.
Even though he was the President of Lu Group, he playfully sat down next to Shen Qi and even reached out his arm to hug her. When Shen Qi saw this, her expression instantly changed and she admonished, “President Lu, please be respectful!”
Then, Shen Qi got up and sat at the seat opposite him.
Lu Xunchang chuckled. “Woman, are you really here to discuss business with me?”
Shen Qi called the waiter over to order two cups of coffee before she lowered her voice and said, “I apologize for that night!”
“Oh?” Lu Xunchang raised an eyebrow. “Did Ye Moxuan send you over because he doesn’t dare to meet me himself?”
“I came here on my own terms. This has nothing to do with him,” Shen Qi pursed her lips and said.
“Then what if I say I don’t accept your apology?”
Shen Qi looked up at him and her gaze was cold. Along with the expression on her face, she looked dull.
Lu Xunchang used to think stuffy women like her were the most boring kind of women. However, right then, he didn’t feel that way toward Shen Qi.
“The Lu Group has nothing to lose by cooperating with the Ye Group. Besides, this is an important business project; there is no reason for you to reject us.”
Just then, the waiter brought the cups of coffee to their table. After Shen Qi thanked the waiter, she continued, “President Lu, according to what I know, you built the Lu Group from the bottom up, so you should know how difficult it was for the Lu Group to become what it is today. In North City, it is a huge opportunity to be able to work with the Ye Group. I believe you won’t want to give up on an opportunity like this.”
“What a great analysis. It’s true that I don’t want to give up such a great opportunity but… I’ve changed my mind. I’ve already made enough money, hence I care more about my reputation now. I will only work together with the Ye Group if Ye Moxuan personally apologizes to me.”
