Shen Qi was stunned. “What do you mean?” Lin Jiang repeatedly apologized to her, “I know I did you wrong by spewing all kinds of sh*t to you at the hospital; I would now like to offer you an apology and ask for your forgiveness. Qi, you must forgive me; if you don’t, then Qinbao, our kids and I won’t be able to continue living.”
Shen Qi had no idea what had happened; he literally came out of nowhere to beg her to save him, all the while spouting nonsense about how he and his three kids wouldn’t be able to continue living. “What the hell are you talking about? I can’t understand a word you’re saying!”
Shen Qi took a few steps back and avoided Lin Jiang’s hand, causing it to hit the ground. Lin Jiang then raised his head to see her frown, and his body shot straight up, thinking that she was unwilling to forgive him. “Shen Qi, quit your acting! Aren’t you the one who pitted that man against me? I just registered a small company using my money, but before the profits returned, your man ruined everything! Now, I’m begging you for forgiveness; can you forgive me just this once for old time’s sake? Or would you rather see my family ruined before feeling satisfied?”
Lin Jiang was extremely agitated, his eyes overflowing with resentment. However, Shen Qi had not a single clue as to what happened. She was able to extract some information from his words, yet they were vague. My man… Who is my man? Did he mean Ye Moxuan? No, Ye Moxuan has never met Lin Jiang, so how would he go after him?
“Stop pretending! It’s the guy who saved you at the entrance of the hospital! Rumor has it that he also gave your mom 300,000, am I right?”
Shen Qi’s expression contorted into one of shock upon hearing this. “What did you say? How did you know about this?”
“If you didn’t want others to know, you shouldn’t have done it in the first place!” Lin Jiang spat viciously. “Do you need me to come up with a list of all the shady things you’ve done?”
Shen Qi paused before she asked, “What shady things have I done? Come on, give me your list then!” She took a step forward while staring Lin Jiang down with her sharp gaze, and the aura she emanated had changed. She would really like to know since when had she done anything shady.
Lin Jiang was nailed in place by her tremendous aura, and his fear led him to take a step back. “D-Do you think you are all high and mighty now? Your reaction only implies that I hit a sore spot. Shen Qi, I thought you were a pure and innocent lady; I never expected you to be such a shameless b*tch! You don’t only seduce men, you even take their money as your own family’s money! I’ll tell you why I never touched you; I saw through the vain woman you are beneath your disguise and didn’t want your family to blackmail me, do you understand? I never thought someone would actually be fooled by you. Shen Qi, you and your family are such brilliant scammers!”
“Shut up!” Shen Qi interjected with rage. “You were already with Shi Qinbao before our marriage, and both of you had kids before we were divorced. You divorced me as soon as you won the 5 million lottery, while I haven’t gotten a single penny or any form of compensation throughout our marriage. Do you really think I’m afraid of you?”
Shen Qi chuckled, her smile contorting into a vicious grimace. “If it wasn’t for old times sake, do you think I would have left empty-handed? Lin Jiang, all in all, you’re an a*shole, someone who burns bridges, a scum who cannot be trusted to weather the storm side-by-side with. I don’t know who is after you, but it’s none of my business! Considering the sh*t you just spouted, there is also something that I would like to tell you.”
Shen Qi looked into his eyes and iterated her words one-by-one. “You. Deserve. It.”
“You—”
“Don’t come after me, or else… you might plummet faster into your inevitable ruin.”
Lin Jiang’s lips quivered with rage, yet he couldn’t form even a single sentence due to her threat.
Shen Qi turned to leave, yet tears stinged her eyes as soon as she did. She was on the verge of departure when Lin Jiang threw himself over and latched onto her calf. “I’m sorry, Qi. I let you slip away due to my own ignorance—I am an ungrateful tw*t, and I am a piece of worthless trash. But before Shen Qi was able to speak up, Lin Jiang—who was behind her—scurried like a monkey and threw himself to the ground before Ye Moxuan. “I remember you! “Oh?” Ye Moxuan expressed disdain, and he raised his brow. “Help you? What do you wish to have me assist on?”

Shen Qi stood as still as a piece of log, and her heart was numb. However, as she heard what Lin Jiang said, her heart sank with a bad premonition. “What are you scheming about?” she questioned.
Lin Jiang chuckled. “President Ye, can’t you see she’s afraid? She did you wrong, President Ye… As long as you help my company make a comeback, I will reveal her fears to you!”
Shen Qi’s face contorted with fear, and her heart was drumming. Will Lin Jiang reveal the fact that we never shared a bed to Ye Moxuan?
