“Oh my God. Now that you mentioned it, they do look alike. I just thought he looked familiar.”
“What the hell? How is the delivery girl related to Ye Group’s President Ye? Is she dating three men at once?”
“Does that make sense? Didn’t you see the news about Ye Group that was literally everywhere at the time? Young Master Ye already has a wife. He got in an accident right before their wedding, and her picture even made it to the news. She is so beautiful.”
“I remember now. I think we can still find the article if we searched for it.”
They took out their phones and started searching. Eventually, they found Han Muzi’s photo from the wedding where she was by herself because Ye Moxuan had gotten into an accident.
“This can’t be Young Master Ye’s child, can it? He’s so big already.”
“And what is he doing here as a waiter at the delivery girl’s little shop?”
They were dumbfounded. The receptionist gulped as she realized she had discovered too many secrets during that unexpected visit. Before this, everyone thought that Yan was just an average woman with not much of a background. However, they came to find out that the son of President Ye from the Ye Group was working as a waiter at her shop, and that Lin Xuzheng and Han Qing were also there. Those were three incredibly famous people in the business sector.
The receptionist picked up her phone. “Um. I think I might have forgotten to bring my clothes in at home, and it looks like it’s going to rain soon. I’m going to go home to keep my clothes. You guys should stay and eat. I’ll get the bill.” Then, she got up and went to the cashier. After paying, she left the place immediately.
The others looked at the bright sun outside and felt perplexed. “It’s so sunny right now. How does it look like it’s going to rain soon? What’s going on with her?”
One of them smirked. “You fool. It’s obvious that she got scared and ran away. Can’t you tell?”
“Then,” she hesitated as she said, “should we leave, too?”
They suddenly realized the person they wanted to go up against was someone they were no match for. What could be more irritating than that? If they were to lose their jobs or hinder business all because of their desire to torment that woman, then they would rather not do it. Furthermore, they were starting to feel uneasy now with the receptionist gone and with the appearance of Little Bean and Lin Xuzheng.
Someone else quickly followed along. “Besides, I was never in favor of coming here to look for trouble, and I don’t like President Han either. You guys can go ahead if you want to torment her or look for trouble. I’m leaving now.”
“I’m leaving, too. My boyfriend was not too happy when I came here. Why am I eating ramen here instead of spending the weekend with him?”
They left one after the other. Originally, six to seven people had arrived together, but three to four of them went back and only two to three people were left staring at each other.
“Do you guys want to leave too?”
“No. Since we’re already here, why don’t we finish this ramen first before leaving?”
“Okay. We’ll leave after eating then.”
Not long after, Luo Huimei brought out their orders and noticed that there were only three girls left sitting at the table that was full just before. “Oh? Did I bring this to the wrong table? Didn’t you guys order seven bowls of ramen?”
She placed the three bowls of ramen in front of them with some doubt and asked, “Did Little Bean take the wrong order? Should I change it for you?”
“It’s fine, Mrs. Zhou!” a voice urged. “We usually eat a lot. The seven bowls of ramen are for us. Please serve them.”
The other two people nodded at her with a blank face.
“You don’t have to insist. If the order is wrong, we can easily change it.”
“It’s not wrong. Please serve them to us. Our friend has already paid for all of this.”
Luo Huimei did not say any more out of courtesy, but she kept thinking about it as she made her way back to the kitchen. “What is going on with those girls outside? There’s only three of them, but they ordered seven bowls of ramen. When I asked if the order was wrong, they insisted on not changing it. Can they finish all seven bowls of ramen though?”
One of the workers replied, “Mrs. Zhou, if they don’t want to change it then just leave them be. I think they’re usually picky eaters and because it was hard for them to find the time to come here, they might just want to eat as much as they can.”
Luo Huimei thought that was quite reasonable and did not pick at it more. However, the atmosphere outside was not as easygoing. The three girls who stayed behind were not happy at all. Still, they did not want to leave right away so they stayed to eat the ramen. Moreover, they were too afraid to ask for their money back as they were afraid of offending Ye Group’s Little Young Master.
“You’re such an idiot. What’s wrong with asking for our money back? Can’t we change our order if we ordered too much? Why are you guys such cowards?”
“If you’re so brave, why didn’t you say anything earlier?”
“Yeah. You even nodded your head. Doesn’t that mean you agreed?”
“Hey!”
“Forget it. They all left—obviously not wanting to take responsibility for this. We’re just unhappy right now. Besides, there’s nothing we can do. If President Han really likes her, how can we possibly change his mind?”
“I agree. Secretary Su has been by his side for so many years and she couldn’t change him, much less us. We’re only here to make things difficult for the delivery girl because we don’t like her, but there’s nothing much we can gain from this.”
“What are you two talking about? Was I the one who asked you to come? You guys just followed me here.”
There was nothing they could say to that. They looked at each other, then sighed.
“Oh, well. We’re already here. If we don’t wanna look for trouble, then let’s just eat and go.”
They lowered their heads and ate the noodles. After one of them drank some soup, her expression quickly became excited. She wanted to exclaim but worried that her friends would make fun of her, so she said quietly, “It tastes pretty good.”
The other two girls were in disbelief. They also drank some of the soup and found that it was delicious. But likewise, they did not say anything and kept their heads down as they continued eating. Just like that, the matter was swept under the carpet.

On the second floor, Lin Xuzheng had been waiting in a private room for Yan for a very long time, but she still did not show up. He swirled the tea in the cup, then let out a sigh. Is she abandoning her shop now that she has started dating? Tsk. I was going to eat a bowl of noodles today.
Suddenly, he heard some urgent footsteps outside. Then, Yan showed up in front of him, huffing and panting. “M-Mr. Lin. I was just told that you were here. Please pardon me. I went out as I had some business today.”
“It’s fine. You need to put in time for dating, after all.” Lin Xuzheng gave her a bleak smile as he glanced at her.
Yan became flustered and started blushing. She also stammered as she spoke. She knew that Lin Xuzheng and Han Qing knew each other, and that Lin Xuzheng was the one who told Han Qing about the incident at the police station last time.
