An Understated Dominance Chapter 2334 by Marina Vittori

As the hidden weapons shot toward him, Caleb seemed to anticipate their arrival. He raised his middle and index fingers and murmured an incantation.

Suddenly, a golden light enveloped him. The weapons hit the light with sharp clangs but were deflected without leaving a mark.

“He’s using the Glow Incantation technique?” Sam raised his eyebrows in surprise.

The Glow Incantation was Sacred Wrym Summit’s signature technique, and mastering it required decades of intense training. At only 20, Caleb had already mastered it, which showcased his remarkable talent.

However, Sam knew Caleb’s skill wasn’t enough to challenge him. He understood that the effectiveness of the Glow Incantation depended on Caleb’s cultivation, and his youth meant his foundation was still developing.

He believed he could break through Caleb’s defenses if he continued to attack. So, he quickly waved his sleeves to send a torrent of hidden weapons toward Caleb. Though they appeared ordinary, each weapon packed the power to pierce dark steel.

“Again?” Caleb’s gaze sharpened. He chose not to take the hit directly. Instead, he used his toes to push off and jumped into the air.

The Glow Incantation provided strong defense but was draining to maintain. He realized he didn’t need to fight head – on when he could avoid it.

The hidden weapons zipped past under his feet without touching him. Just as he thought he had dodged the attack, Sam flicked his fingers to redirect the projectiles toward him.

Suddenly, the weapons shot up and curved midair. They surged toward Caleb in a dense, relentless swarm.

“Whoa! He can do that?”

“Is this the hidden weapon techniques of the Dawson Clan? Impressive.”

“The Dawson Clan’s hidden weapons are renowned. Their skills must be extraordinary to gain such fame in the martial world.”

The spectators were stunned by the sudden turn of events. They had always thought hidden weapons traveled in a straight line, with skill only affecting their power. Even the most skilled experts could only slightly alter a weapon’s path.

But Sam’s ability to make the hidden weapon turn midair and return was something they had never seen before. To them, it was almost like casting a spell.

“This is a real nuisance,” Caleb thought as he faced a barrage of thrown weapons. With no way to dodge, he used the Glow Incantation again.

As the golden light emerged, the incoming projectiles were blocked by the light and created a series of sharp clanging sounds. While these hidden weapons couldn’t cause serious injury, they took a toll on him.

While Caleb was busy defending himself, Sam launched another attack. With a swift flick of his sleeve, three Frost Needles shot toward Caleb’s back.

These needles could disrupt a grandmaster’s internal energy, breaking their defenses and freezing them. Many grandmasters had fallen victim to these deadly needles.

“Hmm?” Caleb sensed the threat and quickly turned.

With a flash of light between his fingers, he pointed at the Frost Needles. A bolt of blue lightning shot from his fingertips and precisely struck the needles.

The three Frost Needles exploded and scattered cold air everywhere.

Caleb landed smoothly from his descent. If those needles had hit him while he was in midair, even a brief freeze would have given Sam the chance to finish him off.

Sam was ranked ninth on the Legendary List and was indeed formidable. Every move he made was deadly.

“Stormcraft?” Sam paused his attack and studied Caleb closely.

Caleb had mastered the Glow Incantation and Stormcraft techniques. Sam realized this monk was exceptional and shouldn’t be underestimated. He knew he had to take the match seriously and no longer hesitated.

Sam placed the Dawson Clan’s sacred artifact, the thousand-talon coffer, in front of him and tapped it lightly. The gears inside began to turn, and a small hatch at the top opened. Three dark beams shot out and hovered in front of him.

The spectators noticed that the beams were three black short swords. They radiated cold energy and floated in mid -air without any visible support. They were rare magical artifacts.

“Wow! Sam is going all out.”

“He’s using the thousand-talon coffer. The monk is in grave danger.”

Everyone watched in anticipation.

“Go!” Sam pointed at Caleb.

The three black swords sped toward Caleb with lightning speed and aimed directly at his face.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
