An Understated Dominance Chapter 2258 by Marina Vittori

“Aurora, bring me the Novem Bloomadol,” Alicia said with a knowing glance.

Aurora couldn’t resist asking, “If you give it to Dr. Rhys, how will you cultivate later?”

While others might not know its value, she knew the rarity of the Novem Bloomadol. It was a precious treasure that martial artists could only dream of obtaining to break through to the grandmaster level.

Aurora never expected Alicia to part with it willingly.

“I don’t have any use for it anyway. I’m sure Dr. Rhys would put it to good use.” Alicia smiled faintly.

The higher one’s martial aptitude, the better the effects of the Novem Bloomadol. With Dustin’s exceptional talent and cultivation, she knew he would gain far more from it than her.

“Don’t just stand there. Go get it,” Alicia urged.

Despite her reluctance, Aurora knew that the pill belonged to her sister. She couldn’t decide for Alicia, so she simply nodded. Shortly afterward, she returned with an exquisite sandalwood box.

“Alicia, are you sure about giving this away?” Aurora asked again.

“Yes. Stop dawdling. After all, no treasure is worth more than a life- saving favor,” Alicia replied casually.

She took the box and handed it to Dustin with a smile. “Dr. Rhys, please accept this as a token of my gratitude.”

As she spoke, she opened the box to reveal the Novem Bloomadol.

The pill gleamed in vibrant green, transparent, and lustrous as a precious gemstone. Upon opening the box, a fragrant scent filled the air. Everyone took a deep breath, and they instantly felt refreshed.

“No wonder they called it a top-grade pill,” Grace complimented. “Even the scent alone is remarkably extraordinary.”

Novem Bloomadol was exceedingly rare and sought after by many martial artists who would go to great lengths to obtain it. This pill was desired by many but accessible to very few.

Even as the Dragonmarsh princess, Grace found acquiring one was immensely challenging.

“This pill is probably the only one of its kind in the entire martial world. Its value is beyond words,” Aurora said reluctantly. She would rather give Dustin ten treasures than part with this single pill.

“Dr. Rhys, what are you waiting for? You should accept such a treasure without hesitation,” Grace said, arching an eyebrow.

“Ms. Alicia, I appreciate your generosity,” Dustin acknowledged with a rare smile. He looked at the Novem Bloomadol inside the box and instantly pocketed it.

While other treasures didn’t appeal to him, this top-grade pill was an exception. It promised a significant cultivation boost, enhanced strength, and unlocking hidden potential.

As a martial artist and alchemist, he valued such a rare and valuable pill. After all, it was difficult to craft.

Dustin understood that even with his expertise, crafting one would require loads of rare medicinal herbs, and success was far from guaranteed.

“Okay, now that we’ve got that out of the way and handled everything else, the Group B match begins today. How about we head to the venue and watch it together?” Aurora suddenly proposed.

The Marshall sisters had already signed up and been selected for Group B. However, due to Alicia’s current condition, she couldn’t take part. However, she could still join in the fun.

“Dr. Rhys, Faith, what do you think?” Alicia asked.

“I was thinking the same,” Grace replied with a smile.

“Fine by me,” Dustin agreed, though his eyes remained fixed on the Novem Bloomadol.

“Let’s go then!” Aurora exclaimed. She directed the enforcement team to escort them to the Combat Tournament at Sacred Wrym Summit.

Sacred Wrym Summit’s arena was packed as usual.

Unlike Group C, which had eight battle rings, Group B had only two matches held simultaneously. However, this reduction in quantity is offset by a noticeable improvement in the overall tournament quality.

This was because all Group B participants were advanced-level divine martial artists, with several halfway to becoming grandmasters. Plus, some exceptionally talented individuals often triumphed against stronger opponents.

While Group C served as a filtering round, Group B’s matches were where the true contenders distinguished themselves.

These martial artists were renowned figures in the martial world. They were either elite disciples of major guilds or seasoned wanderers with rich battle experience.

Those who advanced from Group C to Group B were battle-hardened martial artists, and each commanded respect in their own right.

The tournament on that day was particularly grand. Senior members of major guilds attended in person as they were eager to scout and recruit top talents from Group B.

For them, the tournament was like a recruitment fair. As for the participants, it was an opportunity to make a name for themselves on a grand stage.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
