An Understated Dominance Chapter 2251 by Marina Vittori

The following morning, Dustin left his room and went to the villa’s garden to appreciate the lush scenery.

He and Grace accepted Alicia’s invitation to stay at the villa overnight to ensure the sisters’ safety after the recent assassination attempt. Plus, Grace wanted to catch up with Alicia. Thankfully, the rest of the night passed without any disturbances.

Alicia’s condition remained stable. She showed no adverse effects due to her good foundation.

Dustin strolled through the garden and noticed the villa’s gate opening. A convoy of luxury cars drove in and came to a stop. Then, a group of uniformed Celestial Alliance disciples quickly exited the vehicles.

Unlike the regular disciples, these were the elite enforcement team. They were specially selected for their exceptional skills and loyalty.

The team was seldom deployed as they were reserved exclusively for dire circumstances at the discretion of the guildmaster and the elders. Their appearance always signaled the seriousness of the situation at hand.

Seeing the intimidating team, Dustin quietly stepped aside. He deduced that the failed attempt on Alicia and Aurora’s lives the previous night had likely alerted Alloy. So, he dispatched the enforcement team to protect his daughters.

While Dustin wondered about the team leader’s identity, he noticed the door of the car in the lead swung open. A sharp- suited young man, radiating authority, emerged. Every member of the enforcement team bowed in deference.

“Huh? It’s him?” Dustin raised an eyebrow in surprise.

The young man was Fenley, one of the top talents of the Celestial Alliance and ranked fifth on the Legendary List.

His status was second only to the guildmaster and the elders. Although he was still technically a disciple, he was widely recognized as the guild’s future successor.

Before he was 30, he was already halfway to becoming an ultimate grandmaster, towering above his peers. His actions commanded both respect and attention within the Celestial Alliance.

Fenley’s prominence wasn’t solely a result of his remarkable talent but also stemmed from his unwavering loyalty to the guild and his almost paternal bond with Alloy.

Dustin had faced Fenley in a match before. He acknowledged Fenley’s impressive skill. He found his mastery of the Four Elements of God’s Technique noteworthy.

“Fenley!”

Upon hearing the commotion at the entrance, Alicia and Aurora dashed out joyfully. They rushed toward him and affectionately linked arms with him, each on one side. Their actions starkly contrasted with their treatment of Brian.

“Fenley, what brings you here? Aren’t you in seclusion training?” Alicia asked curiously.

“My training has ended. I’m here for the Combat Tournament and because of you two,” he replied with a smile.

“Because of us?”

Alicia and Aurora exchanged knowing glances. They figured Alloy must’ve been concerned about their safety, prompting him to dispatch the enforcement team and arrange for Fenley’s early arrival.

“I heard about what happened last night. I won’t tolerate any threats around you. So, I’ll eliminate any dangers and show those with ill intentions what it means to cross our guild,” Fenley said calmly, though his words carried a clear sense of menace.

Attempting to assassinate and kidnap Alicia was a direct affront to the Celestial Alliance’s dignity. If this weren’t thoroughly addressed, their authority would be undermined.

“Don’t just stand there. Let’s go inside and talk.” Alicia and Aurora tugged Fenley’s hand and led him toward the villa’s living room.

As they passed by Dustin, Alicia stopped and introduced him enthusiastically. “Fenley, let me introduce you to someone remarkable.

“This is Dr. Rhys, the one who saved me yesterday. He’s a genius in both medicine and martial arts. Plus, he is now our guild consultant.”

Aurora chimed in, “Dr. Rhys, this is Fenley Hudson. The top disciple of our guild. I’m sure you’ve heard of him.”

Given Fenley’s status as the future successor of the Celestial Alliance, his reputation preceded him. Anyone familiar with the martial world would recognize his name.

“It’s an honor to meet you, Sir Hudson, “Dustin said respectfully.

“Dr. Rhys?” Fenley scrutinized him and raised an eyebrow. “You look familiar. Have we met before?”

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
