Dustin glanced at Dalen. No matter how gorgeous Dalen was, Dustin couldn’t imagine himself liking another guy.
Dalen coughed uncomfortably as he sipped his drink, his face contorted in discomfort. He grinned wryly and remarked, “Ms. Wesley, I can’t tell if you’re praising me or teasing me with that remark.”
“It’s a compliment! Your gorgeous face could win over any man,” Crystal said with a straight face.
“Oh, well…” Dalen was momentarily speechless.
Did she have to say that to his face? Something didn’t feel right.
“If you don’t believe me, just ask Miles, “Crystal said.
At that moment, Miles was staring right at Dalen. When Crystal mentioned his name, he slightly tensed, swiftly shifting his gaze away with a nervous and guilty expression.
“W-What? Me?” Miles awkwardly responded. “Quit joking around, Crystal. What does this have to do with me?”
“You seem a bit off, Miles.” Ruby raised an eyebrow. She looked around mischievously and smirked. “You’re not bewitched by Dalen, are you?”
“You… you brat! What nonsense are you spouting?” Miles blurted out, flustered. “I’m a man, and Dalen is also a man. There’s no way anything like that could happen between us.”
“Miles, loosen up. I’m just teasing.” Ruby chuckled. “And hey, love is love. If you guys have feelings for each other, I’d give you my blessing.”
“Hey, you’re really getting more outrageous with your words!” Miles said, looking annoyed and ready to throw a punch.
Ruby immediately hid behind Crystal, giggling uncontrollably.
Dalen, being the one involved, just felt speechless upon hearing that.
While Miles was messing around with Ruby, he would occasionally sneak a glance at Dalen. What started as a joke became quite intriguing with those sneaky looks.
“Dustin, Ms. Wesley, is this your first time at Sacred Wrym Summit? How about I show you around and help you get familiar with the place?” Dalen promptly changed the topic after sensing something was off.
“Sure.” Crystal nodded.
“We appreciate it, Mr. Shade,” Dustin added with a subtle smile.
His main task on this trip was to find the Dracan essence. But with his current strength, freely entering Sacred Wrym Summit was not feasible.
After all, both the Ancient Sage Arion and his successor, Kaden, were not opponents Dustin could handle.
Plus, the situation was unclear, and he needed to hide his identity. Following Dalen’s group would be less conspicuous.
Dalen walked through the ancient town. He fanned himself while enjoying the scenery. He asked, “Do you guys know why Sacred Wrym Summit is hosting the Combat Tournament this time?”
“I know!” Ruby volunteered.
She said, “I heard they’re organizing the Combat Tournament to select talents and bring glory to the nation!”
Hearing this, Miles couldn’t help but burst into laughter. “Ruby, you’re way too naïve to believe such nonsense, aren’t you?”
