“W-What!”
Dalen’s words surprised the few people standing there. It took them a moment to process the unexpected revelation.
Miles, who had been expressing his feelings, stood still with an awkward smile. His eyes widened, hands hovering in confusion.
How could that happen? Could it be that his daring rescue mission, intended for a damsel, was actually for a man?
“A man? You’re… kidding, right?” The girl in red scrutinized Dalen with disbelief on her face. How could someone with such an attractive face be a man?
Crystal hesitated, mouth slightly agape, unsure of how to react.
So, the troublemakers from the Butcher Guild, who had caused a ruckus earlier, weren’t harassing a woman but a man? This unexpected turn of events was truly one of a kind.
“I’m not kidding. I’m a real gentleman, “Dalen affirmed with a nod: Mistaking his identity wasn’t new for him when he ventured outside.
The girl in red hesitated before stating, “But your appearance…”
“I’ve got a male body with a female appearance, can’t do much about it.” Dalen shrugged, feeling somewhat helpless.
“What a shame.” The girl in red shook her head.
For him to have such a pretty face, wouldn’t it be awesome if it were hers?
“Miles, what’s wrong with you? Are you okay?” The girl in red patted Mile’s shoulder when she saw him still in a daze.
“What? Oh, I’m fine, just… a bit surprised, that’s all.” Miles quickly snapped out of his daze.
However, his gaze continued to size up Dalen, still finding it hard to believe that such a seductive and charming face belonged to a man. What a waste of beauty.
“Hi, I’m Dalen. What’s your name?” Dalen greeted, reaching out for introductions.
“I’m Crystal Wesley,” replied the woman in green, offering a friendly gesture.
“I’m Ruby Wesley.” The girl in red smiled sweetly. Although Dalen was a man, he still looked handsome.
“I’m Miles,” Miles greeted with a nod, his expression somewhat peculiar. Thoughts about the earlier incident still lingered in his mind.
“Nice to meet all of you. Why don’t we sit down and have a drink together?” Dalen invited, extending his hand.
He introduced, “This is Dustin, and these two are his personal guards…”
Laurel and Willow stood up at the same time, introducing themselves.
“Nice to meet you.” Crystal nodded, exchanging greetings.
“Please, take a seat.” Dalen smiled faintly.
Then, he called out, “Waiter, bring us a few more bottles of good wine!”
Dalen was a typical outgoing man. Crystal and her companion carried out a heroic rescue, and that deed made a lasting impression on him.
