“Who is this guy? He actually pushed Elijah back. That’s impressive!”
“Having such formidable strength is mind-boggling at such a young age. He’d undoubtedly be a great asset if we could have him on our side!”
“Don’t be so quick to judge. Elijah has yet to show his true strength. The outcome remains uncertain.”
As the crowd watched the intense confrontation between Dustin and Elijah, they couldn’t help but discuss the extraordinary scene.
As the top martial artists of West Lucozia, the crowd was familiar with each other’s strengths. Hence, they found this mysterious young man intriguing.
No one recognized Dustin as if he appeared out of thin air, adding an element of curiosity. Top-notch warriors like him were indeed rare, capable of single-handedly influencing the course of a battle.
“Austin, where did you find this young expert? I’ve never seen him before,” Eloise asked while supporting her son, looking puzzled.
“Mom, the time isn’t right yet. I can’t tell you for now.” Austin shook his head. Dustin had been concealing his identity, and today’s intervention was a last resort. Revealing his identity now would make him a target in Julius’s eyes.
“Not even me?” She grew more curious.
“Sorry, Mom, I have to keep my promise.” He shook his head again.
“That’s fine. I’ll ask you one thing-Is he reliable?” she probed.
“Absolutely reliable!” Austin replied without hesitation.
“Good!” Eloise nodded. “He’s powerful, slightly surpassing Elijah. If things go south, let him lead you to break out of the city!”
“Mom-”
He was about to speak when his mother interrupted, “This time, you must listen to me. Julius won’t let you off, so you must preserve your life.
“Once you leave West Lucozia for Oakvale, there will be plenty of opportunities for a comeback.”
Since negotiations failed, Eloise had to find another way out.
With the mysterious expert’s assistance, along with the Draken Guardians and the 800 warriors, there was at least a 50 percent chance of successfully escaping.
“Mom, if I leave, what about you?” Austin frowned.
“Don’t worry. I have protection from my status as the eldest princess of Dragonmarsh. Julius won’t dare harm me.” She forced a smile. She didn’t care about her own life as long as her son was safe.
“Mom, we’re not at our wit’s end yet. Perhaps things will turn around.” he comforted his mother.
After all, he had full trust in Dustin. Austin believed that his brother still had hidden strategies and could turn the tide at a critical moment.
“A turnaround? Let’s hope so.” Eloise sighed softly, but in her heart, there was no expectation. After all, facing 50 thousand Black Dragon Army soldiers outside was an insurmountable task, even for this mysterious expert.
In the central battlefield, Dustin’s sword continued its relentless assault without a moment’s pause. On the other hand, Elijah blocked and retreated, beads of sweat forming on his forehead.2
“How can this bastard be so strong? The pressure is almost comparable to Seth, the Sword Whisperer!”
Elijah’s face grew serious, and his brows furrowed.
The long spear continued to swing, attempting to stop Dustin’s relentless attacks. However, no matter how Elijah’s spear technique transformed, the opponent always had a way of deflecting with one sword.
It was a simple sword deflection, yet it forced Elijah to continuously step back, leaving him unable to counterattack.
He had only felt this overwhelming pressure from Seth, the Sword Whisperer, many years ago, when he was still arrogant and challenged Seth after breaking through to become a grandmaster. 2
Back then, Seth defeated Elijah effortlessly with just one sword.
