“Dustin, don’t be hasty. You can’t take him in a fight!” Eleanor urged, recognizing the danger of the situation.
Ezra, with his martial arts background, exuded an intimidating presence. He could take on ten opponents without breaking a sweat. On the other hand, Dustin was just a doctor. Someone like Ezra would obviously defeat him.
“Don’t worry, I don’t see him as much of a threat,” Dustin said calmly. Ezra, though skilled, was a lower-level martial artist. He could win against average opponents but would struggle against a true martial arts expert.
“You’ve got some nerve, bastard,” Ezra sneered.
He casually unbuttoned his suit jacket, unveiling a chiseled, powerful physique concealed beneath his white shirt. His muscles were a testament to his martial arts background.
“Ezra, don’t do anything foolish!” Eleanor stood between the two men, attempting to defuse the situation.
“Eleanor, this is a battle between men. Don’t interfere. I’ll prove my love for you,” Ezra declared seriously. “Seriously, you’re being irrational!” Eleanor exclaimed. She knew Ezra’s actions were wrong, but she couldn’t help being drawn to the drama.
Two men competing for her attention was a new experience, and her getting the better of her. ego was Ezra taunted, “Dustin, I wouldn’t want you thinking that I’m picking on you. Look at those skinny arms and legs of yours. I’ll give you three chances as a headstart.”
Dustin brushed off Ezra’s insults, waving his hand dismissively. “Let’s skip the chatter, shall we? I’ve got places to be, and I’d rather wrap this up quickly so I can grab a meal.”
Ezra’s face turned crimson at this contemptuous gesture. “You got a death wish!”
With that, he lunged forward. His fist cut through the air, aimed straight at Dustin’s face, with enough power to split a door.
However, just as Ezra’s fist was about to make contact, he received a stinging slap across the face, sending him stumbling backward.
“What?” Ezra was left bewildered, his face throbbing in pain. “What just happened?” he muttered, his hand instinctively covering his cheek.
Before he could make sense of the situation, another sharp slap hit him across the face, sending him tumbling to the ground. This time, he landed ungracefully.
“What?” Eleanor stood in disbelief.
At first, she had thought Ezra would win, but it turned out that Dustin had the upper hand. With just two well- timed and powerful slaps, he had Ezra on the ground.
“I-I can’t believe you d-dared hit me?” Ezra spluttered as he got back on his feet. He shook off the confusion and regained his anger.
“You’ve got the guts to challenge me with this little strength,” Dustin said in a cold, unfazed tone, further fueling Ezra’s rage.
“Bastard! Die!” Ezra growled. He pulled out a knife and thrust it toward Dustin’s chest. If their previous clash was a simple duel, now Ezra was aiming for the kill.
“Now you’ve done it!” Dustin’s gaze turned icy. He swiftly grabbed Ezra’s wrist. With a sharp crack, he snapped it, causing Ezra to cry out in agony.
“Ah-!”
