Chapter 822 What Do You Want
Godrick was caught by surprise, then he stared at Jared and started to frown. “Who is that man? Do I know him? Why do I feel like I’ve seen him before?” He wondered why he was feeling that way.
He had a feeling he had seen Jared the moment he saw him, but he couldn’t remember where he had seen Jared before.
Godrick might have come from a branch family, but he was still related to Jared. Jared’s mother was Godrick’s aunt, making him Godrick’s cousin.
However, there was no love between them. In fact, they were at each other’s throats, though Godrick didn’t know that just yet.
“Mr. Deragon.”
Kenneth and Kristoff went over and nodded at Godrick to greet him. They wouldn’t dare put up airs around Godrick, for he was a much more talented man than they both were.
Godrick nodded at them and waved his hand, telling everyone to leave the scene. He didn’t want any unexpected events happening while they were on their way to the island.
After Jared left with the ladies, he said jealously, “Well, I didn’t expect you girls to be so popular.”
Josephine giggled in amusement. “Why? Are you jealous?”
“I am not.” Jared shook his head.
“We’re the only young ladies around. Everyone else is at least twenty years older than we are. It’s only natural that we’re popular.” Lizbeth smiled.
What she said was true as among the hundred passengers on board the ferry, the ladies were the only young women around. It was little wonder that the men were so eager to help them out.
Renee said sweetly, “It’s all because Josephine and Lizbeth are too pretty. That’s why those men are so eager to show themselves off. I’d try to hit them up too if I was a guy.”
“Oh, you really know how to make us happy, Renee.” Lizbeth patted Renee’s head, but then she remembered something, and her face fell.
“What’s wrong, Lizbeth?” Jared asked curiously when he noticed the look on Lizbeth’s face.
“It’s nothing.” Lizbeth shook her head. She was hit by a pang of sadness because she knew that Renee and Josephine might not come out of the trip alive.
Just when Jared was about to pry further, a few people got in their way. Jared turned around to see who it was, and it was none other than Sean and his men. Standing beside Sean was his brother, Sylvester.
“Surprise, motherf*cker. Are you happy to see us, Jared?” Sean sneered.
“What do you want, Sean?” Jared had actually noticed the Cooper siblings when they were still back at the hotel, so he wasn’t surprised to see them on the ship.
Huh… Jared’s too calm about this. Sean frowned. “You killed my brother. Shouldn’t you be afraid of me?”
“On the contrary, I think you should be the one cowering in fear. If I can kill your brother, that means I can kill you too. If you want your family to be wiped out, you are always welcome to challenge me,” Jared answered calmly.
Sean’s face turned red with fury, and he pointed at Jared. “Don’t be so sure of that, kid. Do you think we’re afraid of you just because we didn’t come looking for you? I’m telling you, I’ll cut you down to pieces and make your women my plaything!”
Sean wasn’t afraid in the slightest, for Sylvester was with him, and his fury mounted. However, just when Sean was about to attack Jared, Sylvester stopped him.
