With a wave of his hand, Jared extinguished the raging fires on Roshan and Luigi. Both men were left panting heavily.
All three individuals were in Ultimate Realm. Both the green-robed man and Luigi were Ultimate Realm Level One.
As for Roshan, he was more powerful than them, appearing to be at Ultimate Realm Level Three.
“Where does your cultivation level stand among the citizens of Beast City?” Jared asked.
Roshan and Luigi remained silent, while the green-robed man said, “I guess we’re average. There are plenty of people in Beast City who are more advanced in cultivation level than us.”
Upon hearing this, Jared took a deep breath. Now, he finally understood why the beast race in Ethereal Realm was weak-the stronger ones had been hiding from the world all this while.
Characters like Yuven and these so-called three kings and four archons might sound impressive, but in reality, they only possessed the strength of a Tribulator.
In spite of that, they were hailed as a king or archon amidst the beast race, for the truly impressive members of the beast race beasts had all hidden themselves away.
“Then where exactly is this Beast City?” Jared seized the opportunity to ask.
Upon hearing this, the green-robed man hastily shook his head. “I absolutely cannot reveal that,” he declared. “Even if you were to kill me, I still can’t tell you!”
Finally catching his breath, Roshan said to Jared, “Just kill us already!”
Jared didn’t pay attention to Roshan. Instead, he took out a map and spread it out in front of the green-robed man. “Do you see this area marked with a red circle? This should be Beast City, right?”
The green-robed man was taken aback, then he looked at Jared in shock. “You… Why do you have a map?”
Upon seeing the reaction of the green-robed man, Jared knew his speculation was spot on.
The green-robed man quickly realized his mistake and hastily clarified, “No, the area marked in red isn’t Beast City. There’s no point in you guessing.”
However, the reaction of the green-robed man was a clear giveaway of his guilt.
“Kid, even if you know where Beast City is located, it’s futile. You simply won’t be able to find it,” Roshan said.
“Is that so?” Jared responded with a faint smile. “Then let me guess why I can’t find the place even if I know where it is. Could it be that Beast City is located in another dimension?”
After Jared finished speaking, he studied the reaction of the green-robed man.
When the latter showed no reaction, Jared realized that he had guessed wrong.
Beast City likely wasn’t situated in some other dimension.
Since it wasn’t in a different dimension but couldn’t be found, there was only one possibility left-an illusion.
The illusion array was used to confuse those searching for the Beast City, ensuring that even if they found the location, they still couldn’t find the city.
“Since it’s not in another dimension, Beast City must be shielded by an illusion array that misleads people. As a result, no one is able to discover its location, and they would simply be running in circles. The city lord is an expert in illusion arrays, so accomplishing this wouldn’t be difficult at all,” Jared continued to speculate.
As soon as Jared uttered those words, the expression of the green-robed man visibly changed.
That was when Jared knew his guess was correct.
“Kid, stop guessing. Even if you’re right, there’s no way you’re getting out of the illusion array. If it weren’t for the three of us, you wouldn’t even be able to leave this illusion array!” Roshan commented in an angry tone.
Jared admitted that if it weren’t for his cunning tactic, tricking the three into revealing themselves, it wouldn’t have been easy for him to break the illusion array and escape from it.
“You have a point, but from now on, you must do as I say.”
After Jared finished speaking, he moved his fingers, and a beam of golden light disappeared into the bodies of the three individuals.
Subsequently, an illusory shadow appeared above the trio. Jared reached out and managed to grasp it with his hand.
Right then, the divine souls of the trio were all in Jared’s palm, leaving them stunned.
