Jared, along with Carlo and others from Duad Formation Sect, began setting up the defensive array.
The entire island was quite expansive, covering a distance of a few kilometers. Setting up such a large arcane array in a short amount of time was indeed a challenging task.
Therefore, Jared and his team were working tirelessly. Jared first set up the core of the arcane array on the small island. After that, Carlo, accompanied by the people from Duad Formation Sect, circled the island, laying down the array runes.
Wyatt, along with all the alchemists, scoured every inch of the land in search of secret rooms or hidden tunnels.
Everyone was hustling. Not a single soul was idle. They all knew they were racing against time.
Suddenly, an alchemist shouted, “President Chance, here’s a secret room!”
Wyatt immediately led his team over, venturing into a dimly lit tunnel.
Below was dark and damp, lit only by the faint flicker of firelight. Rows of cells were visible, clearly indicating that this was a dungeon.
Upon seeing Wyatt and the others enter, the alchemists who had been confined in the dungeon became extremely excited and began to shout loudly, “President Chance! President Chance!”
This gave Wyatt quite a scare. Only when he got closer did he realize it was unexpectedly Ernesto and his group.
Upon witnessing this scene, Wyatt was momentarily taken aback before bursting into laughter.
“Ernesto, weren’t you allied with Sky Slasher Sect? How have you ended up in the dungeon at this point?” Wyatt asked with a hearty laugh.
Ernesto’s face was flushed with shame as he quickly responded, “President Chance, I was deceived by Thaddeus. We all were blinded by his lies, and we followed his words. Now, we’ve managed to subdue Thaddeus. Please, open the prison door and let us out!”
After Ernesto finished speaking, he stepped aside, revealing Thaddeus, who was barely breathing.
Watching Thaddeus in that state, Wyatt felt a wave of satisfaction wash over him. It’s all because of this guy that we’ve ended up in this predicament!
“You guys are really reap what you sow. Of all the people to collaborate with, you had to choose those from Sky Slasher Sect. They are incredibly cunning. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have ended up in this godforsaken place!” Wyatt gave a cold huff.
“Absolutely, President Chance! You’re right in admonishing us. We indeed deserved it, and we now realize our mistakes. We kindly request that you let us go, President Chance. Let’s join forces and wipe out those b*stards from Sky Slasher Sect!” Ernesto pleaded.
“President Chance, please let us out. We’ve truly realized our mistakes.”
“Let’s team up and take down the people from Sky Slasher Sect. Let’s reduce this place to ruins!”
“President Chance, we’ve worked together for many years. I’m begging you…”
Numerous alchemists began to appeal to Wyatt fervently.
Upon seeing the situation, Wyatt couldn’t bear it in his heart, so he swung open the prison door.
However, as he reached out, a flash of white light zipped by, forcefully repelling Wyatt away.
“President Chance, there’s an arcane array here. We must break it before we can get out,” Ernesto cautioned.
Upon seeing the situation, Wyatt immediately ordered someone to fetch Jared. He was incapable of breaking an arcane array. Only Jared could do it.
At this point, Jared had already set up the core of the arcane array, simply waiting for Carlo and the members of Duad Formation Sect to complete the arcane array.
Upon learning that Wyatt was looking for him, Jared immediately rushed over.
“Mr. Chance, this dungeon is shielded by an arcane array. We must break this arcane array,” Wyatt said.
Jared glanced at the dungeon before turning his gaze toward the numerous alchemists within it.
Upon seeing Jared, everyone lowered their gaze, not daring to meet his eyes directly.
Although Jared was only a Sixth Level Tribulator and many of the alchemists present held higher cultivation levels, they did not dare to meet his gaze directly.
Jared’s commanding presence was so overwhelming that it kept these people from raising their heads.
Even though everyone knew that Demon Seal Alliance had offered a hundred-year offering to hunt Jared down, not a single person dared to entertain any thoughts at that moment.
Jared’s capabilities were evident to all. He defeated Stanton, charged into the storm, and came out unscathed.
