Ezequiel was startled by Bernard’s command but quickly murmured, “Your Majesty, the Foster family is a member of the Demon Seal Alliance. They-”
“I don’t care what alliance they belong to,” Bernard interrupted coldly. “This is an order. Inform General Quivey that if the Foster family isn’t dealt with in five days, he should come to the imperial city and personally apologize!”
Bernard’s tone carried such certainty that it sent a shudder through Ezequiel, who quickly nodded. “Understood, I’ll issue the order immediately!” With that, he hurried off to carry out the king’s command.
Bernard then turned to Jared. “Mr. Chance, feel free to stay here as long as you like. Don’t worry about the Foster family; it’s a minor affair. They will be taken care of.”
Jared, Dylan, and the others looked on in amazement. With just a few words, Bernard had condemned an entire family to downfall. This was the power that came with being a ruler-true strength meant that no challenge could stand in the way.
“Thank you, Your Majesty,” Jared said, offering a respectful bow. He had initially planned to rally forces from the Central Alchemist Guild to reclaim Imperial Fox City and annihilate the Foster family.
But now, it seemed there was no need.
Bernard personally made arrangements for Jared and his group, and not long after, he brought out the immortal’s bone Jared had been seeking.
It was a piece of leg bone, old and hardened, with a translucence as clear as crystal, resembling pure white jade.

“Your Majesty, may I ask where this immortal’s bone came from?” Jared inquired, curious about the bone’s origin. He hoped that if he learned where it had been found, he might be able to find some more valuable treasures there.
“This was given to me by Blood Bone Sect as a token of gratitude for a favor they asked of me.I don’t know where they acquired it,” Bernard replied honestly.
“Blood Bone Sect?” Jared echoed, unfamiliar with the name.
“Blood Bone Sect is a group of Demonic Cultivators,” Bernard explained. “They practice using human bones and blood and have long operated near the southern region’s Demonia Mountain. They collected many immortal bones from the Celestial Battle to use in their cultivation.”
He continued, “Years ago, they were hunted down and forced to seek refuge in Allardland. In exchange for our protection, they gave us this immortal’s bone.”
Jared’s interest piqued. “Is Blood Bone Sect still here in Allardland?” he asked.
Blood Bone Sect might have more of Vermilion Demon Lord’s remains. If they’re able to gather all of his remains, Vermilion Demon Lord will be resurrected, and all Ethereal Realm shall be under my command then! Demon Seal Alliance, the Mueller family, Inferno Devil, and the likes would be nothing to me! I’ll have Vermilion Demon Lord wipe them out.
However, Bernard shook his head. “They left long ago. After a few decades under our protection, they returned to Demonia Mountain, where most fallen immortals lay.”
“Oh,” Jared said, feeling a bit disappointed.
“Mr. Chance, are you after the immortal’s bone for cultivation? While it’s valuable, using it for cultivation isn’t straightforward. It’s best used as a weapon,” Bernard said, noticing Jared’s interest.
Jared smiled. “I was just curious.”
After more casual conversation, Bernard excused himself, ensuring a large supply of cultivation resources was delivered to Jared shortly after.
