In front of the whale beast, Jared’s figure seemed so insignificant.
Upon seeing the situation, Wyatt and his companions were all taken aback, their faces filled with shock. They had never encountered such a colossal beast before.
“Run, Jared!”
“Get out of there, Mr. Chance! Hurry!”
Upon seeing the situation, Viola and Sigurd quickly shouted at Jared.
The sight of so many enormous demon beasts was simply terrifying.
Many alchemists were so frightened that they subconsciously stepped back.
Carlo, on the other hand, was ready to lead the disciples of Duad Formation Sect into the fray. Their plan was to set up a defensive array to aid Jared in fending off the demon beast’s assault.
“Don’t come any closer, you guys!”
Jared stopped Carlo and the others in their tracks. He knew that even the defensive arrays wouldn’t be able to hold back such massive demon beasts.
Jared unsheathed Dragonslayer Sword and advanced toward the ten whale beasts.
Aaron, upon seeing the situation, scoffed coldly, “You’re courting death! These whale beasts are not something you can kill.”
Wielding Dragonslayer Sword, Jared confronted one of the whale beasts. In an instant, he found himself swallowed whole by the monstrous creature.
The mouth of that whale beast was so vast, it could rival the spaciousness of a palace.
The immense suction force kept drawing Jared into its midst relentlessly.
Jared didn’t resist, instead, he yielded to the suction force, finding himself inside the belly of the whale beast shortly after.
Upon witnessing Jared being devoured by the whale beast, Aaron couldn’t help but smirk, “На! Once inside the belly of the whale beast, you can forget about coming out alive!”
No sooner had the words been spoken, than a burst of light suddenly shot up from the back of the whale beast.
Jared was seen radiating a golden light while Dragonslayer Sword in his hand resonated with a series of roars.
The whale beast roared as well, letting out piercing screams as it plummeted heavily into the vast sea, causing colossal waves to surge.
A golden dragon gradually materialized behind Jared, accompanied by the resonating sounds of its majestic roar.
At that moment, the remaining whale beasts, each one filled with fear in their eyes, let out terrified roars. Swiftly, they plunged into the vast ocean, disappearing without a trace in an instant.
Aaron, who was initially pleased, was dumbfounded at the sight of this scene.
Before he could react, a flash of golden light came rushing toward him.
Aaron’s head was cleanly severed by Jared using Dragonslayer Sword.
After Aaron’s death, the remaining disciples of Sky Slasher Sect were all terrified, desperately wanting to flee.
“President Chance, we can’t let these people escape. If they do, our whereabouts will be exposed and that would spell trouble,” Jared said hastily.
“Don’t worry; not one will escape…”
Wyatt led his men on a chase, and within a few short minutes, they had virtually wiped out the remaining disciples of Sky Slasher Sect.
In this battle, a fair number of alchemists had suffered injuries, with a few even being critically wounded.
Even with the assistance of Duad Formation Sect, they feared they wouldn’t stand a chance against the disciples of Sky Slasher Sect, had the former not intervened.
Everyone returned to the spirit ship, which by now was in a state of utter disrepair. Despite its dilapidated condition, it still managed to retain some semblance of a ship.
It was clear that the spirit ship wouldn’t be able to return to Epea.
“Carlo, immediately have your men set up the arcane array. We need to ensure this spirit ship doesn’t sink. Right now, we’re relying on this dilapidated spirit ship to find that small island!” Jared instructed.
Carlo had left with his men to set up the arcane array. Meanwhile, Wyatt expressed his concern by saying, “Mr. Chance, that island must be the stronghold of Sky Slasher Sect. Wouldn’t we be walking into a trap if we go there?”
“We need to find a place to rest, and this spirit ship couldn’t possibly endure the journey back to Epea. So, we have no choice but to take a risk and head to that small island. Moreover, after our recent battle, I’m sure the people from Sky Slasher Sect must have called for reinforcements. That being the case, there shouldn’t be too many of them left on the island. As long as we tread carefully and avoid running into any more members of Sky Slasher Sect, we should be fine,” Jared explained.
“It seems we really have no other choice but to go to that small island right now, Mr. Chance. We still have several severely injured people among us, and most of us have exhausted all our resources. We absolutely need to replenish them.”
In agreement with Jared, Hartwin decided to go to that small island as well.
