Woody frowned a little as he said, “Are you done talking? If so, please step aside. It’s not polite to block someone off.”
He couldn’t be bothered to waste his breath on them, and he didn’t want to deal with their shameless behavior at all!
Miriam immediately grew arrogant. ” Are you mad because of what I said? You’re just a former prisoner, so quit trying to be better than us. You’re not worthy!”
“Well, tell me, then. What’s so good about Kurt?” Woody’s expression gradually turned cold.
Miriam said proudly, “Listen well. Just now, Mr. Donnel only had to make a call to turn things around. He helped us become the Cartwrights’ gold-tier partner. What about you? You won’t be able to do it even in your dreams!”
Woody frowned again. “Are you sure that it’s because of Kurt? You’d better not be thanking the wrong person!”
Miriam sneered and said, “Who else can it be if not Mr. Donnel? You? Why don’t you take a look in the mirror? You’re behaving so jealously you’re disgusting to look at!

With that, Kurt took out his phone and quickly dialed his father’s number. ” Hello, Dad. You called the Cartwrights again just now, didn’t you? You must have put in a good word for Pamela, right?”

Although they used to be married, she didn’t trust him at all. She even trusted an outsider over him. Woody’s heart turned even colder.
