135. Get Rid of Him
Pregnant!?
The whole family was stunned as a deafening silence descended, engulfing the large living room of Grandpa Winston’s quarters.
The Doctor looked shocked as well, breaking the most strange news in the family.
His eyes fell on the shocked family members. “C-Congratulations?”
“What congratulations?” Lucas’s tone was filled with disbelief as well as irritation. “You just did a physical examination and you pronounce she’s pregnant.”
“Mr. Harrison, I am ninety percent sure that Ms. Carlson is pregnant, which should be at least two weeks old. The physical symptoms proved that.”
“Pregnant! Am I pregnant!?” Cried Tracy, the most shocked of all. “H- How? Why? How can I fall pregnant while I’ve only spent one night with Lucas? Is that possible?”
She let her tears fall, covering her eyes, looking scared and shaken. “Lucas and I haven’t planned on having a baby yet.”
No one knew before, but now everyone was aware that the couple had slept together.
“She can’t be…” Lucas shook his head. “It must be a misdiagnosis.”
“Mr. Harrison, you don’t have to believe what I told you,” the Doctor said. “But it is pertinent you go to the Lab and have Ms. Carlson tested.”
Grandpa Winston who had been quiet all along couldn’t come to terms with what was going on yet.
He pulled Lucas to a corner and stomped his cane on the floor. “What is the meaning of this, Grandson?”
Lucas avoided his gaze, his eyes filled with regret. “I’m also confused, Grandpa,” he admitted.
“Did you sleep with that girl or not?”
Lucas couldn’t provide the answer which was clearly evident.
Grandpa Winston’s eyes turned red with rage and he slapped him across the face. “W-Why? Why would you do that? Didn’t you tell me you wanted Heidi to come back?”
“Of course, I do-”
“Be quiet!” Grandpa Winston hollered. “You don’t want Heidi. If you really did, you wouldn’t have slept with another woman! I was even planning to accompany you to the Olsens Family to see Heidi’s grandfather and beg for her forgiveness, but now it’s impossible!”
“No, Grandpa, I still want to take Heidi back. What happened with Tracy was a mistake.”
Grandpa Winston shook his head. “I won’t buy that.”
And the old man stomped away, heading upstairs to his bedroom.
Lucas released a sigh, a conflicted look in his eyes.
Back In The Living Room…
Blake had left in confusion and displeasure, while Stella stayed back, accompanying Tracy.
Seeing no one in sight, Stella asked, ” Are you really pregnant for Lucas?
Tracy, tell me the truth. I don’t want to believe the Doctor.”
“I’ve been experiencing these weird symptoms for the past few days. I’m not experienced enough to know what it denotes. I don’t think the Doctor is lying, Stella. I might be pregnant.”
As confused as she was, Tracy was also very happy inside. However, she masked her happiness with a gloomy look, wiping her tears.
“Damnit!” Stella cursed, then gave her a hard slap.
“W-What, Stella?” Tracy covered her cheek, stunned and speechless.
“Tracy, are you crazy?” Stella whispered. “Did you forget our mission?”
Tracy’s eyes reddened with more tears.
“Lucas Harrison must not have a single heir!” Stella continued in a loud whisper. “Did you become so deluded that you’ve forgotten the reality? Isn’t it our plan that you have to get rid of Lucas once you get married?”
How could Tracy forget her mission?
Her cheek hurt and she rubbed it gently, her heart filled with rage.
She maintained a weak demeanor by nodding at Stella’s words. “This pregnancy is a mistake. I’ll still follow your advice, after all, you have promised me a great deal of the Harrisons’ wealth.”
