Shouldn’t Mess Up with My Hidden Heiress Ex-wife Chapter 61 by HusnaS

61. Who Exactly Was She?

Inside A Villa.

The hummingbirds chirped from outside, and the morning light streamed in through the curtains.

The solitary figure of the man stepped inside the closet, his eyes scanning the several business suits hanging from the racks.

In the dimly lit walk-in closet, Lucas took his time searching for something special to wear.

In his exploration, his hand reached the furthest end of the closet and his fingers grazed something that felt like a box.

Lucas retrieved the wide box, his brows furrowing. He opened it and found a striking dark blue tuxedo with his initials carved with a golden thread in the front pocket.

Lucas wore the tuxedo and took an unusual time appreciating his appearance in the mirror. Not recalling when he ordered this custom-made tuxedo, he summoned the maid when he reached downstairs.

“Mira, when did this arrive?”

Mira held her cheek with both hands, her eyes shining with admiration when she saw the boss looking more handsome than usual. “This looks very good on you, Young Master. You truly did justice to this cloth.”

“I know.” Lucas was rarely impressed by designer wears, yet this tuxedo’s design, simple but elegant, was truly admirable.

The maid continued praising, “I knew it would suit you well from the start. The former Young Madam had been worried that it wouldn’t, so she took several months to sew it into perfection.”

“Heidi?” Lucas frowned.

“Of course.” Mira’s lips pulled into a smile, admiring the handiwork. “The Young Madam was keeping it as a gift for your third wedding anniversary. Unfortunately…” She trailed off and sighed.

Lucas stilled, his eyes tense with complex emotions.

Heidi designed the tuxedo for him.

His expression shifted, and his heart suddenly felt empty.

“It’s crazy, right? But the former Young Madam is very talented. She’s no fashion designer, but after spending days and nights watching thousands of tutorial videos, she became a master at it.” Mira couldn’t hold back from expressing her admiration.

Wondering why Lucas Harrison was oddly silent, she opened her mouth to ask what was wrong…

Then his phone rang.

“Mr. Harrison.” Amanda’s voice came from the other end. “The pilot has arrived and everything has been set. The jet is set to take off in twenty minutes.”

Lucas left in a hurry.

At the Airport.

Amanda walked up to him, and she couldn’t help but notice the man’s exceptional appearance.

“This suit looks great on you. Your new designer must be very talented, Mr. Harrison.”

Strangely, Lucas Harrison seemed a bit moody.

As the private jet took off, Amanda couldn’t take her eyes off the man.

It wasn’t like she had a crush on her boss. Amanda was professional in every aspect. The suit just intrigued her.

Lucas sent her a side-eye glare, sensing her deep gaze on him. “Focus on your work,” he commanded.

Amanda quickly collected herself. She opened her laptop and typed in some words. “Mr. Harrison, I have forwarded the latest report regarding the new construction site’s budget. Please have a look.”

Lucas retrieved his laptop from his suitcase. Turning it on, he read through the report, his expression darkening. ” Amanda, are you tired of your job?”

“M-Mr. Harrison, what’s wrong?” Amanda shifted uncomfortably.

Lucas showed her the screen. “I told you to stop organizing the reports this way.”

Amanda wanted to cry. “Mr. Harrison, I’m a hundred percent sure that this is the exact way I’ve been organizing those reports I used to send you. The person who tampered with the ones you receive must be from your end. My computer’s security is intact, I promise.”

Hearing her assumption, Lucas gave her a glare. “If I find out you’re lying, you’ll lose your job.”

Knowing that no one would have the guts to go to his office and tamper with his computer, he doubted if the one at home was being tampered with. Both computers contained the same data.

Lucas brought out his phone and dialed the maid.

“Young Master, did you forget anything?”

“Whenever you clean the study room, do you mess around with my computer?”

“I- I would never do that, Young Master.” Mira’s eyes widened with fear. “I swear I didn’t.”

“Then have you seen anyone sneaking into my study room?”

It was impossible. Lucas never allowed any strangers into his house.

But Mira explained, “Apart from the former Young Madam, no one else entered your study room. She told me not to let you know, but every night the former Young Madam would go to your study room and spend some hours working on the computer.”

Mira was afraid that she would lose her job, so she spilled the whole truth. Besides, the former Young Madam was no longer around to probably be mad at her.

For the first time, Lucas couldn’t believe his ears.

If that was the case, Heidi had been the one tampering with the reports, reorganizing them.

Where did she get that knowledge from?

Who exactly was she?
