“Damn! This brat is so full of himself, completely disrespecting the Sword Union disciple!”
“Son of a bitch! Blabbering away without even throwing a punch. Let’s see how he handles it when he loses!”
“I can’t take it anymore! Get me my sword!”
Marco’s arrogance and disrespect angered many, especially Miles, whose expression instantly turned dark.
Being a Sword Union disciple meant the world to him, and usually, he earned respect wherever he went. Now, Marco had publicly embarrassed him and Miles couldn’t bear it any longer.
Miles declared aggressively, “Brat! I don’t care who you think you are. Here, you play by my rules, whether you stand strong or surrender like a defeated warrior!”
He added, “How dare you challenge us near the Sacred Wyrm Summit? Today, I’m going to teach you a lesson myself. You’ll find out there’s always someone stronger!”
With that, he pulled out his sword, pointing it straight at Marco. His clothes rustled without wind, giving him a commanding and extraordinary presence.
“Well said! Go for it, Miles! Crush this brat!” Onlookers cheered and shouted in support.
Putting his drink down, Marco picked up the sword from the table, got up slowly, and stared at Miles. “Are you sure you want to challenge me?” Marco asked coldly
Miles declared confidently, “I’m not challenging you. I’m teaching you a lesson!”
He added, “Don’t think you can run wild in Dragonmarsh with just a few tricks. With your skills, you’re far from being my opponent!”
“Alright, I admire your confidence. Show me what you’ve got.” Marco nodded and slowly unsheathed the Demon sword.
The Demon Sword ranked among Kimboku’s top ten famous swords. It was entirely red with elegant water- like patterns, measuring three feet four inches. When illuminated by sunlight, the red patterns seemed to come alive, emitting a mysterious glow.
“Keep your eyes on the sword!” Miles wasted no time and thrust his sword forward.
His goal wasn’t just to win. He aimed to win impressively, earning cheers from the crowd. This way, he wouldn’t ruin the Sword Union’s reputation or disappoint the onlookers.
Amidst the crowd, Crystal sighed softly as she observed the unfolding scene. While some may not realize it, she was fully aware of Miles’ abilities.
Dealing with a Divine-level martial artist would be a breeze for him at his current strength. However, facing an elite would be a whole different story.
Marco, the one who had set up a challenge near the Sacred Wyrm Summit, was no ordinary person. Winning against him wouldn’t be an easy task for Miles.
Dalen, casually fanning himself, turned his gaze toward Dustin and asked, ” Who do you think will win in this battle?
Dustin replied calmly, “They’re not even in the same league. There’s no comparison.”
“Oh? So, you believe Miles can come out on top?” Dalen asked mischievously.
“Of course! Miles is a sword genius, second only to Crystal. Handling that brat should be a breeze!” Ruby confidently chimed in.
“Win?” Dustin shook his head with certainty. “Honestly, Miles doesn’t stand much of a chance. If he can just manage to keep himself alive, that would be considered lucky.”
“Hey! How can you say that?” Ruby immediately got upset, placing her hands on her hips. 1
She added, “Miles is a martial arts genius. He reached an advanced divine level at 20, with intense training and excellent sword skills.
“He’s way better than you, like ten or a hundredfold better! Why do you underestimate him?”
She believed that nobody in the martial world should dare to criticize Miles. He was truly shameless!
“I’m not underestimating anyone. I’m just stating the facts,” Dustin replied calmly.
He added, “Considering Miles’ age and current level, he’s indeed outstanding. But compared to the top geniuses, he still has a long way to go.
“Unfortunately, his opponent today, Marco, happens to be among the best at the very top of the pyramid.”
