Fred said, “Someone’s probably hidden that information by now.”
Zach replied, “I don’t want to know about such boring things.”
He thought, ‘My dealings with the Young family are completely over. Whatever happens to Yvonne has nothing to do with me.’
The gift that Madelyn received upstairs was just a message, but it had completely shocked her and left her utterly speechless.
Mya touched her round belly and said, ” The doctor said I have two babies inside me! I was afraid that they might argue and fight each other in there, so I’ve been telling them bedtime stories every night. But my babies have been so well- behaved; they haven’t stirred up any trouble at all.”
She had only been pregnant for just under two months, so of course she was not feeling anything yet. To Madelyn’s horror, she realized that the child was likely Fred’s.
“Mya… Do you know what it means to be pregnant? How could you be so careless?” Fred was not a good person at all. Madelyn knew it was none of her business, but she could not just stay out of it with Mya’s current state. She could not believe that Mya’s situation had gotten to this point.
‘Fred is just a scoundrel. He had an affair with Cecilia, so how could he ever admit to being involved with Mya? Even if they end up together, Mya will be the one who gets hurt, not Fred. If it weren’t for Luke’s betrayal that deeply affected Mya, she wouldn’t be as naive and easily manipulated as she is now.’
Mya just looked at Madelyn with clear and innocent eyes. Then, she covered her mouth and chuckled, “Madelyn, I know he’s a jerk. He always scolds me for being stupid, but I’m not! Madelyn, I didn’t inform him about my pregnancy! I don’t want him to be the daddy of my babies! They already have someone else to be their daddy!”
Madelyn asked, “Someone else?”
“Yes!” Mya glanced around discreetly. When she saw no one was around, she whispered, “It’s Forrest! Madelyn, this is my secret. Don’t tell anyone, okay?”
Madelyn said, “He…”
Forrest’s name was like a small stone thrown into a calm lake, causing ripples to spread.
Mya innocently continued, “Forrest made me a promise when we were in school. If he comes back, I’ll let him be the father of my children. That way, we can live together forever.”
Madelyn did not know whether to laugh or cry. Forrest, who knew nothing, had inexplicably gained two children. “Mya, it’s not like that!”

Zach walked into the master bedroom. Upon seeing her worried look, he hugged her from behind, holding her hands in his palms and kneading them, “Mrs. Jardin, when will you consider Mr. Jardin’s emotions? I’ll get jealous if you keep watching!”
Hearing his voice, Madelyn became angry and pushed him away, “You’re all bastards. Mya…”
‘She’s pregnant with Fred’s children!’ She did not say the second half out loud and quickly swallowed it. ‘If I tell him, he’ll immediately inform Fred and make Mya’s situation even more difficult.’
“Forget it, at least she’s okay. I don’t want to look at you right now. Get out. You’re sleeping in the study tonight!”
