After washing himself, Xiao Su changed into something casual. He then drove to a nearby supermarket to buy nutritional supplements for the middle-aged and elderly people, fresh meat, fruit and seafood. After all, they were going to have lunch together.
After hesitating for a while, he thought that it would be better if he could prepare some gifts for Xiaobai’s parents. Therefore, Xiao Su bought a belt and a scarf for his future in-laws.
After preparing the two gifts, Xiao Su received a call from his mother, Liang Yahe.
“Son, are you not at work today? I called Xiaobai just now but she didn’t answer. Is she still in bed?”
Xiao Su muted Xiaobai’s phone before he came out. He didn’t think that it would cause Xiaobai to miss his mother’s phone call. Therefore, he explained, “Yes, she didn’t have enough rest yesterday night. That’s why I’ve muted her phone and asked her to continue sleeping.”
“No wonder. I was wondering why Xiaobai did not answer my phone. So it was because of you!”
“What’s the matter mom?” Xiao Su asked.
“Why? Can’t a mother call her own son?”
Xiao Su knew his mother very well. Every time she made a phone call, she must have a particular reason in mind. If there was nothing going on, his mother won’t bother to call him. Basically, she would leave him as he was.
Therefore, Xiao Su didn’t say anything. He was waiting for his mother to spill the beans first.
As expected, Xiao Su didn’t have to ask. Liang Yahe immediately told him her reasons. “Well, some of my friends and I are going to have a hot spring bath at Mount Dongyun today. They all say that the hot spring is good for our skin, so they have their families with them. How can I go alone? It’s almost 11?! Oh my god! Didn’t Xiao Su say that he would wake me up? Why didn’t he do so?! Did he secretly get back to sleep?
