Chapter 14 Mouth To Mouth Medicine Administration
Huo Lichen’s expression darkened as he replied impatiently, Cut the crap! Are you a doctor or a chatterbox?”
“It’s just a common cold. What’s gotten into you?” Qin Chu whined, but he suppressed his curiosity and tended to Yan Wan.
Although Qin Chu was not a doctor by trade, his skill was better than those so-called medical professors. A flu like this was nothing to him.
“Give her this medicine. After a night’s rest, she’ll be fine in the morning,” he instructed while taking out a bottle of medicine. Then he gave Huo Lichen a meaningful look, “Since she’s unconscious now, will you be feeding her the medicine, or do you want me to do it?”
Administer the medicine? Huo Lichen’s expression stiffened as he stood at the side.
Qin Chu noticed his reaction and smiled wryly.
He had fed medicine to patients on a few occasions. On the other hand, someone as arrogant as Huo Lichen, who didn’t give a damn about others, had never done it before.
In fact, he never wanted to.
Qin Chu stopped teasing Huo Lichen and poured a cup of water before heading to the bedside.
While Qin Chu’s hand was approaching Yan Wan, Huo Lichen’s face fell as a strange feeling stirred in him.
He took two long strides and snatched the cup of water from Qin Chu.
“I’ll do it.” Huo Chen decided and sat gracefully by the bedside.
He lifted Yan Wan and placed her against his chest with one hand before feeding her the medicine with the other.
However, Yan Wan was in an unconscious state. Her mouth was shut tight, making it hard to feed her water, let alone medicine.
Huo Lichen was flustered after several failed attempts, which was a rare sight to behold.
Meanwhile, Qin Chu stared at Huo Lichen in shock. He had never seen him take care of another person before. How important was this woman to him?
Unable to contain the curiosity in him, he began with a straight face, “This won’t do. She’s running a high fever, so we need to use a special method to administer the medicine.”
“Special method?”
“Yes, mouth-to-mouth. It has the same concept as CPR. I don’t think you know how to do it though. Do you need me to teach you?” Qin Chu offered his assistance and walked over to the bed.
He’ll need someone to demonstrate it. Who does he intend to do mouth-to-mouth with?
Huo Lichen’s expression turned icy as he glared at Qin Chu. Without hesitation, he popped the pill into his mouth and drank some water.
Following that, he placed his hand behind Yan Wan’s head and pressed his lips against hers.
“Mmm…”
Yan Wan could feel something on her lips even in her semiconscious state, and it was forcing its way in gently yet in an invasive manner. It had a similar feeling to her recent nightmares.
She instinctively struggled and attempted to push him away.
Huo Lichen grabbed onto her fidgety hands and pressed her underneath him.
His kiss had a bitter aftertaste from the medicine and forced its way into her mouth.
Yan Wan shuddered as the medicine and water were forced down her throat. Her eyelashes were fluttering in a frenzy, and she managed to open her eyes with difficulty. In her blurry line of sight was Huo Lichen’s face, magnified many times due to the close distance between them.
He was handsome and dashing.
Huo Lichen was taken aback since he did not expect Yan Wan to wake up so soon. An awkward feeling rose in him.
Instantly, he let go of her and muttered, “I was feeding you medicine.”
Yan Wan stared at him with bewilderment and did not seem to comprehend his words. After blinking a couple of times, she fell asleep again.
A grin curled up on Huo Lichen’s face when he saw her fall into a slumber.
This woman isn’t in the right state of mind when she’s sick.
Qin Chu stood by the side and observed them. He finally believed that she was indeed Huo Lichen’s woman.
In fact, she was very precious to Huo Lichen.
